Could Amare be KP's path to FAs this Summer?

I doubt any Amare trade will happen, but it is odd that the Blazers seem to keep coming up as a direct trade partner.

Could it be that KP still wants to get a FA this summer, but now that Miles is taken away the max range players, could Amare be a way of turning RLEC into a piece he can use this summer?

Having Amare on the team for a few months won't likely cause any damage. This summer KP could then have a real All-star piece (which he doesn't want to keep) to use in a sign and trade for someone else of value.

If Amare does end up as a Blazer it may just be as a place holder so KP can play the game he wants this summer.

It is possible. If so I would try sending him to OKC for Green, fillers and their unprotected first. Might luck out and get Rubio.

Green and Durant play the same position. Reports are they are interested in Amare, a player they can only get in a trade. I don't care where he is traded to as long as it nets Portland a good return.

Durant, Green & Westbrook are off the table. They are looking to deal the expiring contracts of Wilcox/Joe Smith + picks for Amare.

Aside from it being a bad trade for OKC since Amare can bolt in 2010...Why wouldn't they just trade straight up with PHX?

Add their first rounder and it's a go.

Hadn't really thought of that one. Isn't it something of a risk, though?

I can just imagine me coming home one night with Britney Spears, and my wife says, "Oh no you di'int!" And I'm all like, "Aw, baby, it's only for a few months. This summer we can sell her back to Kevin Federline, and we'll make mega bank and I can finally buy that doublewide I promised you." And she'd be like ok with that, because it's only for a few months. Except that one night we all get drunk together and a headshaving leads to this freaky three-way, and in the morning we're all looking at each other and it's kind of awkward. And you wonder if all the money is really worth it, and isn't Kevin Federline married or something anyway?

    Maybe not a perfect analogy...

Don't get me wrong, she's hot as hell (for a MILF). But I can't get around her carrying a vial of Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck.

If it had been Brad Pitt's blood, well, I could look beyond that. But Billy Bob? Every time I'd look into the awesome chasm of her cleavage I'd be thinking about his blood. And that's just too weird.
