No... that's only going to be considering Carter's time on the floor at the SF position. He's not playing a whole lot of SF mins right now, though. He's played about 8 times more minutes at SG this season. Wouldn't take more than a couple of bad games at SF to bias the result.

IMO, his point was that he wouldn't be making any trade that sacrifices the future just to reinforce a playoff push this year. If he can't find a deal for a long-term piece, I don't think he'd be opposed to getting a player who will help this year and the next couple if he doesn't have to give up any significant player for the future.

I always wonder how they determine that for 82 games. If Roy, Blake, and Rudy are all on the floor at the same time, you could say that Roy is the SF, just because he is the biggest of those 3, but if you look at the way they play, at that time, then Rudy would be the SF, and Roy, well, really, Roy the PG. Do they go off of height? Do they watch every game? Not trying to complain really about the stat, just don't see how you could really say who is playing what position.

Probably based on who they defend. If Rudy is defending a player who is primarily a small forward, he's the small forward in that situation. If he's defending a player who is primarily a point guard, he's the point guard.

I agree with that, and Cater does seem to fit that interpretation of KP's statement (putting aside the whole argument if Outlaw will help this team 2-3 years from now)

But I'm still against the trade . . . the whole Outlaw thing :D

From a playing perspective, him and Bonzi have nothing in common.

Vince is a star. Look at his numbers:

    PPG 20.8
    RPG 5.1
    APG 4.9
    SPG 1.0
    BPG 0.4
    FG% 0.439
    FT% 0.815
    3P% 0.393
    MPG 36.5

    Looks almost identical to Roy's:

    PPG 22.7
    RPG 4.7
    APG 5.1
    SPG 1.1
    BPG 0.3
    FG% 0.474
    FT% 0.819
    3P% 0.392
    MPG 37.5

Pretty darn tootin' impressive.... I like this trade.

if they don't make a trade does this mean you'll stop following the Blazers and posting? I hear knitting is a good hobby if you're looking to avoid stress.

When did he say that? I have always say KP will make moves he thinks will improve the team (duh) but I haven't heard him talk that way in about 2 years.

This trade would seriously hurt Portlands chances at winning a Championship. Carter defines the word cancer. Chemistry would likely be severley and permanently damaged and his contract would keep Portland from acquiring players when the team would most need to.

I'd lose a lot of respect for Pritchard if he did this.

I have a feeling no matter who we trade for people are going to have something to complain about.

Carter could be a good fit for this team. A little change of scenery good do him good. I think he would accept his role in the offense. He's a good finisher, shoots a respectable percentage from three, and can slash into the lane. Sure his defense is average but his attitude could change when he's playing for a contender.

Yeah, different players, different positions (Bonzi was better, though), same shitty attitude.

Vince would be a nice 3rd fiddle here in Portland. It reminds a lot like Detroit bringing in Sheed, a guy that you know what he is all about and can provide you with support for your core players.

Not sure if VC is a Blazers system guy. Not really a Nate guy.

Gerald Wallace, however, is very much so - I want Wallace!

(But, I'd take VC as a consolation. Of course I haven't looked at his contract yet!)

I noticed RJ had a great game tonight and the Bucks won the game on the road. 29 pts 8-13fg 4-5 3ptr's 5 rbd 5 asst. I still would take any of these sf in this order: Butler, Wallace, RJ or VC. I think after Butler I think the other 3 are very close IMO.
