It's only 2 years after this one. With his last year being a PO (but I don't see him declining the option)
I'm also thinking we're asking Milwaukee for a point guard, while Cleveland may not be. Just speculation, but I don't see why they wouldn't want to trade with a team outside of their division. This could also be leverage against KP.
I feel like we've been eating salary to pick up talent for years. Ratliff-->LaFrentz-->Nazr; Randolph-->Francis That said, if push comes to shove and the deal isn't getting done, you do it.
25 points on 17 shots isn't too bad, though. Must've been getting to the line at almost, dare I say it, Baylessian rates.
[Comment From Jason In Portland] I think everyone wants to hear what the Blazers are going to do. So call up Vince and tell him to get an airplane ticket to the rose city 9:54 I know this Jay from Portland....the blazers have talked to everyone. the amar'e rumors were real, they desperately need a PG but in the end they will take the best offer for the package of Raef, Outlaw and whomever....that seems at this point to be vince
From Chad Ford >>Another source also confirmed that the Blazers did make a call to the Bucks to renew discussions of a possible Jefferson for Raef LaFrentz swap. The two teams had spoken on and off about a deal for several weeks but the Bucks hadn't heard from them in recent days. The Blazers, as of this evening, were also still trying to find a way to put together a better package for Gerald Wallace after the Bobcats turned down an preliminary LaFrentz for Wallace offer earlier in the day. The Bobcats would still like the Blazers to take back Nazr Mohammed or to throw Nicolas Batum into a deal.<<
10:25 Eastern from Chris Broussard: Ugh. I dunno. Outlaw and Rudy and RLEC? Would we rather have Rudy+Jefferson or VC? I'd probably go with the former... Ed O.
Love the idea of getting Carter, if it's for expiring contracts and Outlaw. Not interested in Carter if it means giving up Rudy, Batum or Bayless.
