Would the Lakers' really delegate back up C minutes to DJ for the whole year? I doubt it. Trading Mihm tells me that the Lakers' are positive they'll get Bynum back this year.
Lame. There is legit concern that Bynum won't be back until the end of April. For him to be effective, he needs to come back at the end of March/beginning of April. I think this move signals that to be the case.
Mihm was a waste of space anyways, an absolute shell of his former self. I don't think us moving him really means anything in regards to Bynum coming back any sooner.
Eh, it seemed like you were implying that he might be on track to come back sooner than expected, I probably just misread your post. It is 2:07 in the AM here in Iowa, and I've been up since 8:45, so cut me some slack.
Yea...I got that now. I was assuming he was coming back this yea too, regardless of whether or not this trade went down.
I'm hoping we can pull off the Joe Smith for Adam Morrison deal now, since the Chandler trade fell through.
I'd target Joe Smith or...gasp! Kwame Brown with Adam Morrison. Kwame was an awesome lockerroom guy. The players' loved him and he was good on defense. I think he'd be a very serviceable backup big man. But.... DACOS > KWAME!
No. Kwame was fine off the bench last year, it was only until Bynum went down that Kwame absolutely sucked. He was scrutinized by the fans, but he had always been decent off the bench.
It's a good idea dealing Morrison for Kwame. He's somewhat familiar with the system and Kwame gives us another big body to knock people around.
Joe Smith and/or Mikki Moore are expected to be released I wouldn't mind either one for some frontcourt depth.
Joe Smith is going to the Celtics if that happens. I dunno about Mikki, wouldn't mind him really, but I don't see anybody who is capable of receiving minutes willing to sign with us. All these mid season acquisitions we get barely see any playing time, and with Bynum coming back, they'd be warming the bench the rest of their stay here. Although if he wants to chase a ring, maybe he'd hop on aboard.
