We could give them a young, talented and inexpensive lineup back! Bayless, Rudy, Batum and Outlaw! Plus, of course, the expiring sampler plate of RLEC, CFEC and TE. Money, young players...it's the classic "king's ransom in prospects for star player."
I think they get more financial relief from my proposal of Raef, Bayless, Outlaw or Webster or Batum, and Joel for Chandler, Peja, and CP3pio. Gives them a good core of kids to build around and a huge amount of $$$$. (Gives us a few championships, but that's just collateral damage). barfo Edit: having seen Minstrel's post - yes, we could give them Rudy too. Why not?
Why not? CP3 and filler Bayless + RFEC + Outlaw then, our new TE + Sergio + Rudy for Lee of the Knicks CP3/Blake Roy/Webster Lee/Batum Aldridge/Frye Oden/Pryz
Sure it can. "After the Blazers won the first few championships with the Honorable Rev. Dr. Oden, a dynasty was established that lasted more than 100,000 years, ending only when the Earth was destroyed by the chipmunks, which had acquired fusion technology in the Peruvian Rabbit Wars." barfo
Still no update to the roundup after 2 hours on ESPN. Makes me wonder if they are trying to sort out some serious information or if Chad Ford finally fell asleep at the keyboard.
http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/or...f/2009/02/blazers_likely_fishing_for_a_b.html Canzano says no deal. But what does he know.
Lee is 6'-9" I actually have Aldridge at SF in my mind, but on paper, list Lee as the SF with LA as PF. [just for you, I offer my post!] LA is effective when popping out on the wing - this permits Lee, our SF! to move down low 50-60% of the time. We'd only have to make adjustments when the oposing team has a small SF - but hey, like one coach once said, "let the other team adjust to us - why do we always have to make adjustments to the oposing team?" there ya go. Not suprised eh? Consider it similar to listing Vince Carter at SF, when the guy is a 2!
KP playing hardball. Well, it seems that if nothing else, we're making sure we get more than fair value back.
I think he understands that NJ is trying to "shop" Vince and is now trying to see how far NJ is willing to bend. The Nets are hemorrhaging money at 30m a year, so not a bad idea to change your stance near the deadline to dupe Thorn into thinking he should've done the original deal proposed. So when we get back to 11am PST and we offer the same thing Thorn bites.
