its really not gonna be funny when we miss the playoffs. thats when everyone losses but our asshole GM and maris will have their lotto pick. cool another lottery night for blazer fans.
Between those two options, I said in KP we trust. I believe that he's willing to do a good deal, and I think that the Blazers have a wider definition of "good deal" than almost every other franchise, but if he doesn't pull the trigger I believe it's because nothing in that definition was available. I have a feeling that I'll be merging a lot of posts and threads this afternoon. And then I'll start drinking and sing some karaoke and the world will be, temporarily, all right once again. Ed O.
I have always stood behind KP. If the reports are true, then I'm extremely dissapointed in him. We have a great opportunity that just doesn't come along very often. Perfect storm of a rough economy, and expiring deal w/insurance, and enough young talent . . . a GM couldn't ask for much more than that. And no deal? Wow.
I think there's some people on this forum who think Pritchard can do no wrong. He isn't Jesus, and he can't walk on water. [image of KP walking on water]http://www.kpwalksonwater.com[/image of KP walking on water]
Certainly he can make a mistake, but I haven't really seen him make one yet, at least not anything big. So I trust him, he has done no wrong to this point, and so I don't expect him to do any wrong. Maybe I'll be wrong. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, though.
I think KP may be a limited GM. Capable of fantastic deals during the draft for unheralded talent, but below average at making deals for known quantities. That would really put a crimp in his master plan of building through the draft, then grab a star vet to put the team over the top. It could be worse. He could suck at both the draft and trades.
In KP I trust, but I still believe that this was a golden opportunity wasted to add a nice piece to the team. KP's great on draft day and won't hesitate to make 6, 7 trades there, but come deadline, there's some itchy trigger fingers.
let's be honest here, none of us have any clue what is actually going on in those rooms. we don't know what stipulations PA has put on a deal, we don't know what other GMs are looking for, we really have no idea. we think we might know but we don't. so anyone that is going to freak out (mixum, fez) just take a look at the guys track record so far and ease off the guy.
