This has been the worst day as a Blazer fan since hearing about Oden needing Micro Fracture Surgery in 2007.
    Here's why:

Oden is out for longer then expected. The knee is not looking good. It was a fluke incident but something that 99% of NBA players just walk off.

I continue to see Kevin Durant go off on teams and is looking more and more like an assassin. I still stand by the Oden pick and by Greg, but I can only take so much of seeing Durant flourish with his NBA game while we just simply hope our guy stays on the court (I will GLADLY take 8 & 8 from Greg, I knew he'd take time to develop after MF surgery, this has nothing to do with GO's production, just very worried he is injury prone)

Sounds like Sergio is going to stay in the rotation over our future in Bayless. if we are going to bake it, then put in the right fucking ingredients!

For one reason or another, we couldn't upgrade our team via Raef's deal.....

We have been regressing since our good start. Every road game it never fails that we fall behind 15 points. I hope this is just the peaks and valleys of the season..but we are young so never know

Finally, LaMarcus Aldridge has not taken his game to the next level like Bosh and Dirk did. In fact his numbers are down this year. He has all the tools to be dominant. I don't know if it is the system or just him being inconsistent. Here's a link to his stats to prove I'm not blowing smoke..
    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lamarcus_aldridge/career_stats.html

Finally, finally, we are depending WAY to much on Roy. He looked absolutely GASSED last night and that was after an AS break...oh vey

    Go Blazers!

You make some valid points. I'm not going to pretend everything is perfect, because it isn't, and will never be, but as far as Aldridge goes, I don't think he's regressing. He was wildly inconsistent last year, but has had double figures in 42 of the last 43 games. I think it's fair to say that although he's improved, the additions of Rudy, Oden, and improvement of Blake has also contributed to him not getting 30 points every night. As mentioned in the past, he ends up being the one who has to switch on picks a lot of the time, and having Oden/Pryzbilla in with him reduces his rebounding responsibilities significantly. He's one of the better offensive rebounding forwards in the league. I'm not underwhelmed by him at all.

Well, I can't top Miksaid, but:

We are 4th in the West!
We did it without Oden providing any consistency
We did it with Aldridge having a so-so year
We did it without Martell at all
We did it with four rookies in our regular rotation, two of which were 19 for part of the year

    This is really amazing!!!!

Hey MAS, the Beavers landed the 16th best center in the nation to go along with the other 3 studs that C.Rob has already recruited!!!

The team is 33-20, seeded 4th in the West, and has two more winnable games before a much-anticipated road trip.

I guess I don't understand what there is to be down about right now. Sure, I'm disappointed no deal was made, but there is always this summer. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the march to the playoffs.

Worst day since G.O.'s microfracture? That's a little extreme. I'm disappointed, but until I see this team start fading from the No. 4 spot to clinging onto the No. 8 spot in the final week of the regular season, I'm not worrying too much 'yet'.
But of course, that all could change if we go into a tailspin.. there's nothing wrong being 33-20 with the second youngest team in the league.

Youngest team in league, 4th in west.

Being so young, it could be all the trade talk has been getting to the players, so now that it's passed they may start playing better. All teams go through bad stretches, even Boston had an extended one this year, so there's no reason to think we'll be horrible the rest of the year.

You could be a Clipper fan.

If none of that works, just watch this a few times.

    * We can endure more of Travis' stellar basketball IQ.

    * We can watch Sergio brick more layups.

    * We can watch LaMarcus continue to look like a Vin Baker clone.

    * We can read more fantastic blog posts from Channing.

    * We can watch Brandon break his back for this team because he really doesn't have help.

    Yay!
