Yeah, I know Rudy is streaky. However, I'd like to see him in a different role than he has been playing, because frankly, I haven't been too enamoured with his game...too in love with the 3 ball.....i'd like him to maybe start so he gets a better feel instead of coming in, and launching 3s all day.

I wasn't expecting him to be able to make any meaningful contribution at this point anyway. Still, too bad, I was hoping he could at least get a head start on next season.

I truly felt Martel was going to have a breakout year. He looked so confident and sleek coming in to the season. And looked great in the one game he played in. Remember he and Rudy connecting on some sweet dunks? They had a chemistry, I thought. Martel looked good, and I was pumped to have him starting. As much as we've exceeded expectations this season, I think a healthy Webster could have been good for a couple more wins to this point. I was really hoping to have him at full strength and in a groove come playoff time (assuming we make it).

    Bummer.

First off, this sucks monkey ass.

Secondly, I don't think we'll see a change to the starting unit. If anything Batum's role should increase I'm hoping. We have some major team defense problems. He isn't the one responsible for this. Playing our other guys so much over him is. Either they (Blake, Sergio, Bayless, Rudy, and Travis) either step up (defensively) or give Nic more court time and limit those that can't pull their weight.

More Batum, I agree. Let him concentrate on defense and work on his offense/rebounding as he can.

I'm more in favor of him playing more late game situations versus just starting off the game then siting on the bench the rest of the game.

How do they determine what position he was playing? I mean does the player have to start in that position? Many times players will switch roles, PG/SG say, during the same stint on the floor so I would think it'd be difficult to tell.

At least we have him locked up for four more years at a cheap contract. Hell yeah. I do think that he'll continue to get better. Just has to overcome the injury bug.

I agree. For his contract, this is only a small bump in the bigger plans. Now is the time to sort the other guy's place on the team.

I think it's determined by who the player is guarding. If Roy is guarding the opposing SF, he's considered a SF for that segment of the game.

    sucks for him

...not that big of a loss for the team though. I prefer Nic and Travis over Webster, and of course Roy can match up there on some 3s too. He's okay but hardly a main cog. Here's hoping he heals up right this time and is good to go next season.

That's like five years in a row now that a starter or potential starter has been out at least half of a season up to a full season. I hope he recovers well.

If we make the playoffs, it will be by default or luck. You choose. It is 100% unacceptable not to make a deal with these latest circumstances. With Webster and Oden being out, how in gods name did he not make a move? Obviously he wants a lotto pick. Before you kill me on this .... hear me out.

    1. A day after the deadline, Martell is OUT FOR THE FUCKING SEASON? He didnt know this Monday? Thats just unacceptable. And you don't upgrade at SF? Even with salmons?????

    2. Oden prob needs surgery. Its the worst kept secret in Blazer land. You know it and i know it. Why it hasn't happened i dont know unless they really want to miss the playoffs.

So i ask again, youth or no youth... cake baking crap, etc... HOW CAN YOU JUST LET A TEAM WHO IS 33-20 BE THROWN UNDER THE BUS AND NOT GIVE THEM ANY HELP???? IM SOORY KP LOVERS....BUT NOBODY CAN TELL ME HE DIDNT KNOW THIS STUFF ON WED NIGHT. IT IS UNREAL. As soon as oden goes under the knife, we are officially done. Another lotto pick which is what "good ole" KP lives for. A FUCKING DISGRACE.

If we knew then what we know now. That's life.

But on the bright side, Batum will be able to develop at a good pace. Kid's future is bright.

Because Batum and Bayless are that trusted with out FUTURE, the whole point of Re-Development. Those two guys are guaranteed the reason why we didn't make a trade.
