I wasn't accusing you of this, just something on the board I recall being a really silly. I think he's a good player as well, but not the talent or fit on Portland that LA is.

I'm sorry you feel that way . . . but after watching tonight's game, it's more obvious than ever. If Atlanta would've made more of their 3 pointers and we missed more of ours, we would've lost this game.

I hope KP picks up Sam Cassell or Mikki Moore as free agents before the waiver deadline - it's our only hope to make the playoffs.

we should waive the entire team, just to free up cap space! Summer 09 plan!

The thought of trading for Smith and putting him at the SF doesn't look to smart. Classic Tweener. ATL has a couple of those.

Re: Hawks vs. Blazers Game Thread

I have to admit, this Hawks team is better than I would have predicted. They aren't as deep as the Blazers, Horford is having a horrible sophmore slump, and I have never been a fan of Bibby. Despite all that, they are a very competitive team. Props to both teams tonight.

I grew up in Ruch, so yeah I've met him a couple of times before. BC used to come into a restaurant my brother worked at about 10 years ago. Really cool down to earth guy.

Um no they aren't. They are pretty bad actually. I watched their previous games leading up to this one and knew that if the Blazers blew this one, it would have been a bad loss. The only reason they have a winning record, is they play in the east.

Man, I love playing the East. If Portland lost every single game against them for the rest of the year, they'd still have a .600 record against them. Right now they're .783

Proof of how good this young team is in the grand scheme of things.

Re: Hawks vs. Blazers Game Thread

    I have to disagree.

I have been very critical of the Blazers lately for "playing down" to the level of bad teams. I didn't see that tonight. The Blazers didn't keep the Hawks in the game by screwing up - the Hawks kept themselves in the game.

I have to step up and say that I have been fairly critical of Outlaw this year, but watching at the stadium tonight, I thought he played close to the best defense I have seen him play this year at the SF position, covering Joe Johnson, and also doing a pretty good job on Josh Smith tonight. Smith had some really nice blocks tonight, but 3 rebounds, 5-12 shooting, 11 points. Not a good game. Joe Johnson, 7-22. 21 points. meh. He just seemed to do a much better job, to me, staying in front of his man tonight. It was great to see from him. He got kind of challenged in the media, and what did he do? He didn't come out just looking to score, to get points so his stats looked good, like maybe he would have a year ago?. He only took 5 shots tonight. Got 6 rebounds. 3 in the 4th. And played very good defense against a good athletic opponent. Props to him. And I hope Canzano recognizes it. Yes, it needs to be consistent, but I think him calling him out was fine, it was a good article. It would be nice to see from him, to write tomorrow about the way travis played tonight, and that he responded in a great way. So, yeah, great game to Travis. We need him to be what he was tonight.

    Sound fimiliar?

About the athletic PF only getting X rebounds? About their young big only getting 3 shots? About the bad coaching staff? About trading Marvin Williams? :)

Anyway, if we go 16-12 the rest of the way, we get to 50 wins. I really think we can do it! And oh man, would that be nice. Good, solid win.
