Same. I don't know how I could only see like 1 or 2 movies a year. Then again, I'm at college and I go to see one sometimes when I'm bored.

Weeds! I just watched all 3 seasons on DVD. That show is awesome. So was The Tudors. Of course Big Love and Entourage dominate as well. Trying to get in to Eastbound & Down.

That new Liam Neeson movie "Taken" was pretty good. Kinda' had a Bourne Identity feel but more violent.

i really want to see Taken. but my aversion to movies and my random, busy schedule prohibits me from really planning shit in advance. you know, maybe I'll try to watch before its out of the theatre.

To hell with Parlimentary Procedure, we've got to round us up some cattle.

Kind of our take, without the girls.

Movies (or the couple of shows we DVR) are one of the ways we wind down and talk at the end of the day. Go to about one movie a year (last ones we saw were National Treasure 2, Dark Knight and the Daniel Craig Bond movie). "Date nights" are for doing stuff, not watching movies.

I agree. I only go see movies with people with whom I've fallen into an easy familiarity. It's too passive an activity to do with someone you don't know well and are trying to get to know. From that perspective, it's just a wasted evening. You know the person no better after the two hours spent at the theater. Sometimes it's fun to chat about the movie after, but at that stage of the relationship there's so much to talk about that you don't need that to generate conversation.

I do enjoy watching movies in the black movie theatres. Lots of audience participation.

Why would anyone ever go to a movie on a date...particularly a first date. You don't get to talk to the other person, and it ends up being the guy spending his money and essentially throwing it away. If you're going to spend money on a date, go bowling....that tends to be pretty decent in my experience because it allows me to be run my game.

I think for some people, that's just easier. Direct interaction is more difficult and a movie is an accepted way to spend a date that doesn't require direct interaction. I'm put in mind, though, of a couple that dates without ever really getting to know one another, eventually gets married after five years based purely on momentum, has a marriage without any meaningful communication and then, twenty years on, each one wonders about the other, "Do I even like this other person?" But by then, they have children and feel the obligation to stay together and end up dying without ever answering that question.

That's where first date movies lead. Beware!

Date movies are for wussies. Unless you're planning on getting a BJ in the theater.

Yes, I died without ever finding out.

First date movies lead to zombie-ism as well. So watch yourselves. ;)

A film is projecting moving pictures on a big sheet of ice.

    God, I hate Canadian-English!

A drink and a game of pool on the other hand is a great first date. You get to check out all the "angles" of your date if you know what I mean!:devilwink:
