Rumors are the Saints are heavily interested in Tomlinson. :sigh::sigh::sigh:

    I'm going to cry. :sigh:

I can actually see this deal forming because Tomlinson and Brees are still best friends. Tomlinson and Rivers aren't exactly close. The writing is on the wall for this deal to go down.

As a Chargers' fan, I'll be sad to see him go. He will forever be remembered as a Charger and I hope he can restructure his contract to stay, but if it is his time to go, we'll move on. We've franchised Sproles who is not a feature back and are looking at the RB's in the draft.

What a sad day in SD :[

It'll be even sadder if this deal is announced :[

Wow that would be a sick deal, his career could be revived.

    Best of luck to LT.

Mamba why doesn't Rivers like LT? He seems cool enough.

I don't think his career needs to be revived, he just needs to stay healthy. He's been hit by injuries, but still had a good season for the average RB. It just wasn't an LT season. :[

I hope he can restructure his contract. LT should retire a Lighting Bolt :[

It isn't that they don't like each other, its just that LT and Brees were and still are really good friends. When they let Brees go for Rivers and started making our offense more pass-oriented, they had a few shouting matches. Remember seeing the highlights of it on ESPN? It was two NFL seasons ago. Not the one that just past, but before.

This year they got along on the field, but its still a well known fact that they aren't good friends. LT thinks the game plan should be focused on running still, while Rivers and company think it should be through the air.

plus Brees + Henderson + Colston through the air? That would be one sick fucking offense. Sicker than this year.

AJ Smith needs to get the fuck out of SD. He lets his ego and pride get in the way. He did it with Brees, Seau, Donnie Edwards, and now he is doing it with LT.

Do you think he could do better in New Orleans or San Diego? NO is probably the most open offense in the league; of course he'd still be in a great situation in SD though.

Bush is barely a running back these days ;), I'm sure LT would love NO.

Its still a nice back field these days though. I think having LT around would really help Bush out, too.

Imagine this: Brees with LT to his left, Bush to his right and Colston on the outside. Fuuuuccckkkkk.

Thank God Pittsburgh doesn't play them this year.

I love how things change on a dime in the NFL. Winter 2007-08 the Chargers probably have the best running situation in the NFL. First the Chargers let Turner go to Atlanta through FA and he turns into a top 3 running back in the NFC. Then a year later they end up trading LT because of his health trouble, and they're left with nothing at running back aside from a part-time backfield receiver.

That would be amazing, that simple. I hope this happens really badly.

Last I heard was LT and the Chargers are trying to hammer out a contract. There has been nothing on the news wire about LT lately. Haven't heard anything since I posted this.

I'm sorry but this just cannot happen, if Smith goes ahead with this he is retarded, Sproles has had one good game, which happened to be against a decent team, so what?
