I know Im not the only one. Who here is considering buying a firearm because of what is happening in the world today, especially in the USA? The video ABM just posted, while of an extreme opinion, could be a possibility. Whos to say what the people in this country who have lost all hope will do. Could home burglaries, and crime in general, soon be on the rise? What if things got to extremes and to try to stop more violence the Government put a temporary ban on firearms? All of a sudden you cant get a gun and the governments plan didnt help, violence is still rising, and there you are with nothing more than a kitchen knife or baseball bat to protect your home with burglaries happening in your neighborhood more and more often. While what I mention probably wont happen, the chances of it happening have undoubtedly risen. So have these types of thoughts (or other reasons) made you consider going out and buying a gun? Better safe than sorry right? Personally it has made me want to get a gun. I have shot firearms only two different instances in my life so a gun safety & use class would go along with the purchase. Buy a gun for $250-500 now...how much would you be willing to buy a gun for when a group of people are breaking into your house?
I'm not too worried personally. I live in an apartment building on the top floor. If someone wants to steal my shitty TV, go ahead. I do keep a stungun in my front car door pocket though, just in case.
I was recently speaking with a fellow who lives near Chattanooga, TN, and he said gun sales have gone through the roof down there. Store owners can't even keep them on the shelves.
yeah. i don't know the laws on that shit but with crazy ass LA Road Ragers, its pretty good to have. not gonna be the next reginald denny.
I don't need a gun, I have an overprotective, aggressive, eighty pound GSD. Well, that and I don't have anything worth stealing, LOL.
flying en tu hystericz > glassing peeple > throwyng starz > regular bulllettts We're ull goyn tu dye en a river uv blud.
A lot of that has to do with folks who are paranoid about Obama clamping down on guns though. There is more than one reason folks are buying guns these days. Some are just enthusiest who want to get certain items before a new brady bill passes and bans them again.
There is this idiot in my dorm, fuck he is an idiot. First of all he wears a belt on the inside of his jeans that carries a knife, and also when he wakes up everyday he puts on this chest strap things that looks like a heart monitor, so he can carry another knife on his chest (he has stabbed himself 4 times trying to put the knife in). He does this all because he is a idiot, and he thinks he's cool. He once said he felt unsafe because he didnt have one of his knives on him... unsafe in freaking Fargo. Well he is always blabbing about guns and war and how cool it is and shit like that, and that fucking moron just told us that last weekend he bought a AR-15 machine gun. He doesn't house it here (the minute I see it is the minute I get my hall director, I don't trust the prick), but the guy is just stupid. He doesn't have it for any reason but to say he has it, and the guy is an idiot and I won't be shocked if he ends up shooting himself. We can only hope...
i dont have any out here, but i have a russian ak (kinda old and a pos) a 9 mm, and a shiny fucking dirty harry .45 revolver in california. they are no cooler or more evil than any other toy, they can kill people, but so can cars and they let morons drive. they are a pure luxury item, unless you go to the range all the time. cool to have, but more like a collector item in my case, i enjoy looking at them more than i like shooting people with them.
Most people that try and stop someone from breaking into their house with a gun, end up shooting themselves or a family member. BTW you might want to stop driving, because you have a higher % chance of dying from that then from a riot.
eh, fuck guns. should have never been invented in the first place. someone really dropped the ball on that one.
3 houses on my block in Vegas burglarized in the last month. Thieves kicked in the front doors while people weren't home (or the houses empty). It's a decent neighborhood, too, with lots of retired military and police and the likes living there. Desperate times drive people to do desperate things. Even people who are good otherwise. As for me, I have a blowdart gun.
