That's awesome. I've been in a bar fight, and it's pretty hectic. Got put in a cop car and charged with having a fake ID and public violence. But since it's Canada, they let me out because I was a minor. Pretty sick night.
should have poisoned George's drank! Lakers are always (or used to) partying in that area. seen a lot of them in that area. That sharkeez actually burned down and they rebuilt it.
Depends on my mood. I'm fairly broke right now, so I tend to go to more dive bars (I use that term loosely because they aren't really dive bars, but some could consider them) than usual. I got to clubs probably about a handful of times a year. I don't drive drunk and when I go out I like to drink quite a bit so I usually go where my friends who are driving decide on. As far as girls go, I have a had a lot better luck meeting girls at semi-dive bars and bringing them back to the residence is a lot easier when going to to a local semi-dive bar. If its my choice every time it is dependent on whether I want the chance of getting my tip wet, or to have a good time.
you a Zag'? How's the nightlife there? I almost went there for school but went to LMU instead.....Spokane seemed boring but I did go to some cool frat parties on that weekend visit there.
i agree with zagsfan. i can go to either and it depends on my mood and the moods of the people i'm with. dive bars can be a really good time but they also have their drawbacks. i go to "clubs" 10 or so times a year and always have a good time but getting in and out of downtown can be difficult since i like to drink and my friends don't usually want to drive down there.
when i'm in portland visiting parents, i get a hotel room when i party downtown...just makes it easier for everything.
