He's a 25 year-old PG with size in his 4th year in the league, and he stays healthy with a physical game. He's one of the primary reasons I consider many "Blazer" posters on sites like this to be foolish at times.
I get parent teacher conferences tomorrow so I don't get to watch tomorrow's game. I kinda consider it a good thing. It's going to be T.O.U.G.H. I'll shave my head if the Blazers win tomorrow night at Denver.
I bet Jack comes back at some point. Right now he wants to start. I loved his game but he pouted a little too much.
Me too, but I'm sure the resident experts will eventually run him out of town because of his own aggressive game.
I'm glad to see Rudy taking his game to another level and not just becoming a 3 point shooter. I thought he was aggressive, had a lot key plays and really helped contribute in pulling this game out.
Yeah, a big noticeable difference with Rudy tonight. I loved seeing him drive and create for himself, and for others if his wasn't there. We're going to need that big time because he is a creative player.
In the first half the Blazers went down by 11 before they put Bayless in and the lead got cut into deeply by halftime. Then in the second half, it was up to 14 before Bayless came in and they put on a run again. Those runs were all about defense and attacking the rim, which is what he brings to the game. I also noticed tonight that Rudy is not jacking up so many 3's. He is being more patient and attacking the paint more. That makes a huge difference for the Blazers, as they have been living by the 3 all too much when they were struggling recently. Jack was Jack. A hustling, strong player. One play I was watching he chest bumped Joel off of him to get his shot off. He still does a lot of the things that made him get shipped out of here. Now just a couple of more PG to ship out, and the Blazers will be in good shape.
except for one little thing, HE'S NOT A PG! funny i didn't see him handling the ball much because they have TJ Ford for that. he's, like Bayless, shaky when handling the ball and does a much better job at the 2. he is a decent 2 in this league but will never be a good PG. he's breaking through this year and good for him but save me the PG argument with JJ.
Systems, my friend. It all comes back to the system. I'm not saying Jarrett Jack should not have been traded, but I am saying that the bashing of him the past few years on BBF was ridiculous.
Here is a bit of trivia for you. In his 6 NBA seasons, Blake has shot 383 FTs, hitting 78%. In 4 seasons, Jack has shot 895 FTs, making 85%. That is an aspect of Jack's game that people habitually over-looked. Now, we would all love to have somebody on the team who attacks the hoop!
