Of course I have doubt. I reconsider most things at all times. I have doubt about what I consider fair and I have doubt about moderating here and I have doubt about whether I'm going to make it to the gym today. I find it hard to trust people who don't have doubt. I felt compelled to respond to you "for some reason"? Who ought I be responding to? What are you talking about? I'm not claiming to be persecuted at all. I merely offered an observation to an answer to a question asked by another poster. The fact that you singled me out is perhaps tangentially related to some of your own expressed doubts that you shared with me, but a persecution complex is hardly the reason for me asking for further clarification from Minstrel, who ultimately did offer further clarification. Also, is mockingly congratulating other posters and offering them "cookies" a byproduct of your internal doubt as how one should present himself as a moderator?

I'm responding to people who address me, the collective moderating on this board, or the rules in general. I didn't decide to pull you into this conversation... I merely responded to you. "Deja vu" was an obvious (and lame) shot at the rules and moderation of this board. You have a history of complaining and whining about things here and that is why I mentioned that. Whatever doubts I have in life or on this board they are irrelevant to that fact. You have called the moderators cowards. You have claimed to have reported posters on at least two occasions to law enforcement. You claim that you are singled out and picked upon. It's pathetic, actually, in my opinion. But you are who you are. I enjoy it when you discuss basketball and not when you belly-ache about things, but you don't post on the board for my enjoyment so keep doing your thing, man. Ed O.

You have had posters advocating killing people based on their religion and you did nothing about it, so a community mod had to come in and clean up the mess that you left on the floor. Are you running a hate site, Ed? Mock me if you want, but I don't find any humor in you allowing posters to incite violence against any group of people, and then commenting in public against the posters who found those posts offensive. I am glad that you shared your personal doubts with me, though. If such cut and dry instances of moderating intervention have you in knots, it's no wonder that you mock the posters who find such behavior unacceptable and hold the offenders in an embrace by your own silence. Any moderator who refused to take down those posts is a coward, and singling out the posters who were complaining isn't only cowardly, but it is also just plain odd.

I know I am not required to read everything or anything, so it is my own stupidity, but felt the need to respond that it's topics like these that have me coming to this board less and less. Seems like there are quite a few topics that go from a discussion, to an argument, to 4 pages of whining and then bringing up past problems and issues, to where it is just an ongoing drama on the board. I am in no way blaming moderators for this, so don't take it as saying there needs to be more moderating, just a general complaint that I see, that has me wanting to come back less and less.
Funny, because this is the exact insult that a poster with many more posts than you complained about to the moderators. I'm a big fan of irony; thanks for the laugh. Also, you said you don't blame the mods, yet a moderator is the one who brought up past issues in this thread.

I now realize that your posts were more about you (perhaps unwittingly) conforming to the norms of this board. So if calling people a "s****y fan" for having a differing opinion passes for reasoned debate, I am willing to move forward and adapt to the new culture of posting.
In retrospect, I should have posted "I think you're being a shitty fan" not "I think you're a shitty fan". There's a temporary/conditional vs. permanent/fixed state difference between the two.
So, getting back on topic. G.O will either come back March 11, March 13th or just come back for the road trip. Nonetheless its hard for me to understand if this chip is an impairment on his running ability or just a mild pain. I wonder if off season surgery is in the works but the Blazers management just doesn't want to admit it. This recent issue with Greg is just plain foggy at this point but I bet its making the fans nuts.
