I got a 1940 on SATs. The schools I want to go to, UC Irvine, UC Davis, have average SAT scores at around 1850, or something. Average GPA is around 3.9, mine is currently 3.83, but like I said, I'm gonna bring up my grades this semester to increase my overall GPA. I'm also in the top 10% in my class, easily, so I'm pretty much guaranteed into a UC, and that's all I really care about. I took AhLian's post as a joke. Not sure if he was serious or not...

IB uses predicted grades that teachers post in your application to universities. We don't get normal report cards, yet only internal assessment from homework that is marked by the teacher, which is then used for the predicted IB grade. The report card comes in June of my grade 12 year after I take the IB exam worth 80% of the final grade for all IB courses.

Worry about grades in college. You should make the most of high school and have fun, try new shit, goof off in class, take advantage of the hoes that don't know what good sex is. Figure them out now, because they never change. A year after graduation, you will be lucky to still have one friend from high school. These kids only matter in your life now because they are around you everyday. Later in life you will wonder why you ever gave a shit what they thought of you. /end rant
Are we supposed to buy this? I did the IB program when I was in school. You have your regular school grade, and then your IB Scores. Your teachers can't look at your IB exams. They usually don't grade your notebooks or papers. (The junior year papers are typically graded by your teachers, but all of the senior stuff is usually just sent away for grading). The teacher may score your presentation, but those get recorded and sent away for evaluation as well. There is no way that your school is using the IB scores for your grades. If they are, they are run in a very unintelligent fashion.
It's funny how white guys defend the failure Asian as if to say: "Look! We're just as good as them!" I wouldn't be surprised if I see a few of you guys working in the halls of MIT as a janitor, as ironic as it may be.
Of course some assignments get sent away for evaluation, but internal assessment is the teacher's mark of what you have done in class.
