Did anyone else watch that Bulls vs. Heat game? That is definitely one of the best games in this NBA season. I think we'll probably see it on ESPN Classic and on NBA TV for years to come after Wade retires. Gordon did a good job, getting the hand in there to bother Wade some on his shot (that's about all he could do, without having the immense risk of fouling), but Wade is just a freak, hitting a floating three pointer for the win. He had the three pointer for the tie too. Bulls got what they deserved though. You have to put the ball in Gordon's hands at the end of games. Rose is like 0-12 now on game winning attempts this season, and it seemed like Salmons was just trying to create something because he was the one the ball got inbounded to in the second overtime. Look at Miami, they went to their best player all three times. He had a tying three to bring it into overtime, a missed layup in the first overtime that would have won the game, and then the game winning three. Bulls have to start putting the bll in their best players hands at the end of games. Still an incredible game. I thought Gordon was going to outdo Wade tonight. He might have had Vinny had a brain and put the ball in Gordon's hands at the end. But that didn't happen, Wade stripped Salmons, and hit the big three.
Saw the highlights on ESPN. Incredible game. Wade played out of his mind. Crazy that only three players have had 48 and 12 games. Bird, Wade and Marbury.
I just saw the ESPN highlights. If you watched that, you would think Gordon didn't make a single shot that game. Yes, I know ESPN loves Wade, but they should at least show the game for what it was, which was a score off between Gordon (43 points) and Wade (47 points).
Pretty pointless stat though. Saw most of the game, he was great at the end of the second overtime, coughed up in the first one though. Honestly I thought the Bulls played better, it took two crazy three pointers for the Heat to win. Oh well.
It was a great shootout, in Chicago I'd definitely say you would have taken it too. Nothing to be embarrassed about except for the last turnover on Salmons.
Hopefully we can go on a run to end the season (we have a tough stretch coming up, but a cake stretch run of Washington, Detroit, Miami, Indiana, Toronto, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, Philly, Charlotte, Detroit, and Toronto) and get in that 4 vs. 5 matchup against the Heat so we can take out our revenge on the Heat in the playoffs. Get that Bulls vs. Heat rivalry from a few years ago back. It's always fun to watch, because I've always been a big D-Wade fan since he was at Marquette, and the Heat play a brand of basketball that makes for some gritty games.
Ha...first clinch the 8th seed, then you can start talking about the 5th seed. Detroit and Miami aren't falling from 5th and 6th IMO, and Charlotte are on fire. Not to mention the Nets, who beat you last time around. NJ vs Chicago is going to be an important game. We have yet to lose a game vs our playoff rivals down the stretch (beat Chicago, Philadelphia, Milwaukee and NY), and we almost beat New Orleans, Boston and Orlando. It's going to be one interesting playoff race.
