As a Blazer fan.. I agree with that one too. Stupid question on his part asking why you are here.

Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended

Can you think of other NBA clubs have been in the news about 4 suspensions lately in the past 4 years?
I'm just stating that other NBA clubs haven't been in this sort of attention lately in the past 4 years and the Lakers have been labled this so far. http://www.sportstwo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137476
Is the Laker organization concerned about what they do to other players? I am being serious on educated thoughts not on specific player or club bashing. Why does Laker players keep on doing this in the limelight? Sportsmanship morals out the window?

Why is it our responsibility to prop up the other dead forums here on S2. If a team forum can't achieve critical mass with posts from their own fans, why should I even want to visit such a virtual wasteland, let alone spend time posting there where no one will read it.

The reason there a so many OT posts here is because their are so many posters here. We get more off topic posts than the other team forums get on topic posts. Don't try to blame us for the lack of traffic in the other NBA team forums. I come here to converse with other Blazers fans about the Blazers. That's the only reason I'm here. I have no desire to waste my time in any of the other team forums. I don't go trolling there. I don't even go lurking there. There's nothing in it for me and I feel no responsibility what-so-ever to drum up activity in forums that are of ZERO interest to me.

lol Touche DaRizzle.. but my being a Blazer fan had to do with 2 things.. 1 growing up in Oregon (he moved here from LA in his teen years) and 2 was we had an unwritten rule in the house to never EVER root for the same team. So some of it was out of spite in my early teen years.. but have been going to Blazer games since I was 5. Sorry to dissapoint.. what if I told you I root for the Giants against the Dodgers? :ghoti:

Well, the site rules here are relatively new so I can understand their confusion. They were under the interpretation that what they were doing was perfectly normal.

The rules were written up for a poster in the past from another forum, because it became too amorphous what an offense around here was. I see various Blazer mods cite the rules around here but they forget past huge controversies and were not around for them.

This isn't BBF or whatever, the rules are quite slack. In fact I think the Blazer forum is the most strict to be honest.

Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended

I'm just wondering, how come your "research" only extends to the last 4 years? could it be because if you go further back, there's nothing, and since you wanna "conclude" a type of behaviour, you figured limiting it to 4 years makes it look more incriminating?

An argument for us assisting in increasing other team board's activities could be that it would help increase visibility of sportstwo.com as a whole, which leads to not only other new posters for other teams boards but possible new Blazer fans posting in our own forum here.

    It'd be a win-win situation ideally.

If only we could cut down on this pesky assume every fan from another team posting here is a troll thing that happens a lot.

haha well I am a *coughcoughYankeesFanCoughcough* but I'm not one of those bandwagon ones who joined on in the championship years in the late 90's. I grew up and Don MAttingly was my favorite player for some reason as a kid, and the Yanks sucked at that time.. so I at least take pride in not being a bandwagon fan.. back on the Giants.. I am so glad Randy Johnson signed with you guys.. even if the only reason is because I laugh everytime I see the MLB2k9 commercial and Randy tells Linceicum (sp?) that his Computer model guy "should put a towel on" not sure why but I laugh every time.. kinda like the VOTE ME commercial

I think it is beneficial to visit the other team forums because it is good to observe a different perspective or forum that isn't subjective. You'll learn intricacies of other teams and understand the current game better, imo.

So, your goal is to grow the site. That's different than my goal - to talk Blazer basketball.

Rather than blame the stagnation of the other forums on us Blazer fans who choose to post exclusively in the Blazers forum, why don't you have a stern chat with your fellow mods who came here deliberately baiting and trolling. While my goal may not be the same as yours, at least my behavior isn't detrimental to your goal.

It's too bad the initial thread was deleted, because there's some serious revisionism going on here. Everyone now seems to be trying to claim that they came in here, innocently seeking discussion, nothing more, whereas in reality they posted nothing but crap.

I don't give a fuck if you're a Laker fan or not, but you've just said that your presence in this forum is rarely an enjoyable experience, a feeling which, on my part, is most certainly mutual. Obviously you have the right to be here, I've never said otherwise. But why, if you don't enjoy it? Why come here and post about how you don't like it?

If you've been listening, it's not more than that to me. This Blazer community is the only reason I come here, it's not for "Sportstwo."
That's your whole point. I've been repeating it again and again, but I don't care about helping the site grow or any of that. Why should I? I've demonstrated how, at least in my opinion, having lots of different fans from other teams doesn't really improve much in practice. If anything, it often worsens the entire experience. So forgive me if I'm nothing but a locust, but I don't see why I should care about sportstwo.com

Who knows, maybe you all will be the exception to the rule. Should we all start over? Despite all my arguments, I don't have anything against Laker fans or otherwise posting here in theory, I just don't really think it works.

If win-win means attracting the sort of people in the highly "visible" justin.tv chats, can we go with the lose-lose instead?

Other forums are virtual wastelands b/c everything is being posted in one forum. If things were posted in the right forums, other people could go to other forums rather than just here. Also it's not trolling going to other forums, it's only trolling if you talk shit for no good reason. It's just ignorant to go on with this argument about going to other forums, because not all of you see that this is a sports site, not a Blazer site. There are always communities within sites, but the site is only great when all the communities come together to become one big forum.
