two days after the whole season? seems quick meh as long as im not outta town during them im tryin to go to a game!!
Remind me - is Rick Kamla the really annoying guy on NBA TV who does the fantasy basketball stuff and likes to use the term "freak"? Because he's a moron, and if Wheels has him on the show, he's really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
With HCA, I think the Blazers have a very good chance of beating UTA and NOH. Utah is a horrible road team. With HCA, I think we have a slightly better than 50/50 shot at beating DEN or HOU. DAL has me stumped. It's not like they are a dominating road team but they've had their way with the Blazers this year. We won't have HCA over LAL or SAN. Too bad, it would be fun to upset the Lakers in the play-offs. BNM
How can one guy be so wrong about so many things? Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Pretty sure they start April 18 and 19. The Saturday/Sunday after the season ends. Most teams will end the season on Wednesday the 15th but I think there are a few teams with a TNT game on that Thursday. So every team will have at least a day off, but most likely two. -Pop
My recollection is that Rich Kamla started off as a fantasy football analyst. I remember his name from the mid-90s, in that context.
Isn't a bit hilarious that up until now the national press has been more or less concluding that the Blazers would fade out of the playoff picture. Now that it looks like they'll make the playoffs, the discussion is, "Well, they can't make it out of the first round without homecourt advantage". Three things: 1. Homecourt advantage? I mean, that we're even in a position at this point where that's a possibility is more than all but the most ardent homers around here would have hoped for at the start of the season. 2. The Blazers have gotten to this position without once having the starting unit that they intended to have on the court when the season began. If Oden and, potentially, Webster gets back before the playoffs, who knows what this team can achieve? 3. Since when do the talking heads of sports really have a clue?
Rick Kamla may not rub everybody the right way, and might say stuff you don't agree with, but he is far from being a basketball moron. Rick Kamla lives and breathes basketball, and I can guarantee you watches way more hoop than you do, has many more sources than you do, and tends to actually be fairly objective. I don't like hearing his comments about Oden and Lopez, and I don't agree with them. I feel Lopez plays in a conference with a bunch of losers playing center for the most part, where Oden does not. But his other comments about Portland, are most likely spot on.
i just don't get the point of ripping every little negivitive thing a talking head says as garbage on an INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD. and judging from how many "doctors" we have in here, yes i think most posters think they know "all".
And yet you take the time to rip me for a little point I make in an innocuous INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD post. I never claimed to know "all". I was simply giving my opinion, which is what I thought the purpose of this board was.
So let me get this right, NJ has two all Stars, A center who is better than Greg Oden, they are in the East and they are 8 games under 500? All I can say is, Yi must really suck!
Hasoos, I agree with you most of the time but I have to disagree here. If Kamla is so knowledgeable on basketball and watches so much how can he be so wrong about Oden? If he is right about the team but wrong about Oden he is no better than I at what he sees and makes judgments on. (the problem is he probably does not watch as much Blazers as he does other teams) When he was paired with Steve Jones in SL he was pathetic IMO.
