The 8th seed is worst case scenario because of how far behind PHX is now. Not a bad scenario, just not one I want to see. I'll be happy that we make the playoffs, but I won't say I'm content when we have a chance to grab the division right in front of us.

I'm glad that the playoffs are in sight, but playoff time is always a different animal no matter who you play. I would be happy enough just to get in, but I would be pleased to have any position other that #8, because we have a much better chance against any team other than the Lakers in the first round. We might be good against them in the regular season (well, better than them if you look at the last 20 years), but they've always had our number in the playoffs. If we met in the second round, I wouldn't mind, but this year isn't our year. If we didn't make it out of the first against another team, I'd still be satisfied.

There is no way you are saying this shit with a straight face...this is a new low for you

You have fooled others but not me! You are all gimmick! Whatever gets a rise out of people right???

Between this comment and disappearing when the Blazers were on a roll its so obvious!

What real fan no matter how pessimistic would just dissapear when their supposed team beats the team with the best record and it also happens to be the most hated team of your team...that screams bullshit

You are not a Blazers fan. I dont mean that in the sense like you arent devoted enough...i mean it literally

You literally are not a Blazers fan and never were...youve just gotten a hard on for the past 3+ years fucking with peoples emotions

i think the west is pretty much a lock of the teams right now that are going to get into the playoffs... its just a matter of who gets what, and i think most everyone can agree on that

I want seed #4 or 5, knock out Denver in the first round, play the Lakers in the second. I'd be fine with losing to them, so long as we put up a good entertaining fight, the Portland fanbase hates the Lakers even more by the end, we see growth in our guys, and they leave for the offseason hungry to take down LA.

And Oden knocks Kobe on his ass at least once.

and Ariza gets knocked down by Greg too, just if we see enforcer Oden come out I'll be happy.

We welcome you to the Lakers' forum if this does indeed happen. BYOB, though.

Nothing would be sweeter than knocking the Lakers out of the playoffs in the 1st round, but realistically it would be very tough to do unless Kobe got injured.

The 3rd/4th seed is in sight. Sure the goal this season was just to make the playoffs, but we've got to realign those goals and try to get the best seed possible. The 3rd seed if we advance, we'd face the Spurs. If we get the 4th and advance, we'd draw the Lakers. I'd much rather try to face the Lakers in the 2nd round as opposed to the 1st.

    Sorry, Im hijacking this thread...

Ive said it before..without being offensive POR is the one team that isnt a contender that scares me the most. SA and UTAH are the real contenders to knock off the Lakers but between the other 5 teams in the west playoffs POR scares me the most. Not only does your guys absolute hate of the Lakers help but you guys just seem to match up very well against us....If it was to happen I say Lakers in 6, maybe 5

I can't remember, is the first round 2-3-2 or 2-2-1-1-1?

wouldn't you much rather get the 4 seed and then meet the lakers in the 2nd round?

Don't be shy about going to the Laker forum with good intent, anyone like that is welcomed. I'm sure we can all respect each other and trash talk in a fun manner, if not I will facilitate that in whatever fashion possible.

when someone's "posting style" is too overreact with as much of a one sided opinion as possible, it really isn't all that appealing of a place to go for reasonable conversation.

Yeah I understand, that's unfortunate. I'll see what I can do.

Well I don't know I'm old fashioned I guess. I just skim over posts I don't want to read, I never bothered to put anyone on ignore, even as a non-mod.

i have never put anyone on ignore in my message board history and generally i at least try to do the same as far as posts i don't want to read(well usually i read them and just don't respond). but at the same time i can understand people not wanting to go through it all.

If there are any egregious issues at the forum I preside over, I'll definitely look into it. The staff in general usually knows how to turn things around.
