Utah doesn't have a brutal schedule man, what you reading into? They still have WAS, @ OKC, HOU, @PHO, PHO, NY, MIN, GS, & LAC on their schedule. Utah is about to finish their East Coast trip, so not quite sure why you'd stick a fork in them quite yet.
Utah also has @ Portland, @ Denver, @New Orleans, @ Dallas, @San Antonio, and @LA Lakers.. thats 6 games against winning teams on the road.. where they cant win. and I could throw @ Phoenix in there too as they are a winning team.
9 of their next 16 are on the road and they are terrible on the road (0-8 vs top 9 WC teams). Their road games include games against Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Denver, New Orleans, Dallas, San Antonio, and the Lakers. That is as brutal as it gets. No one has a tougher road schedule the rest of the way than Utah. No one. And like I said, Dallas gets 8 of their last 12 at home. Utah could easily fall to the 8th seed.
Thank you. They should lose the Orlando game later today and that's a three game losing streak right there.
Yep, I just must have overlooked it cause I was looking ahead on their schedule not at todays. Plus if we can take care of business against the Hawks thats a game we gain today if they lose.
I don't know what to make of the Hawks game. 10am Pacific Time. Hot Atlanta team. Could be tough. But we won there last year and we're better this year so we'll see what happens. I'd be happy with 3-2 on the trip. We do that and we'll be in great shape down the stretch. I'm hoping for 4-1. We did it earlier this season. 5-0 would be unbelievable.
Terrible is when you get blown out constantly on the road, Utah has been in these games w/o Boozer but haven't had the scoring down the stretch to win it. With some home games coming up and some more weaker competition before the big road games, this gives a little more time for Boozer to get back in the flow before the big showdowns. You are acting as if Utah are Sacramento right now, they are 0-8 vs top 9 WC teams w/o having all their main players. Utah will go into Phoenix hand it to them like they always do, especially w/o Amare around, then hit Portland & Denver giving them smackdowns, and finish up suring up their HC seed by beating New Orleans & Dallas. The other 3 games are the only ones Utah realistically should worry about.
Utah got blown out in Oklahoma City. Blown out! Lost by 21!! We lost there too but we didn't get blown out. Utah will not win in Portland. Won't happen. Enjoy the loss in Orlando tomorrow. By the way, we won there and we didn't have Oden.
J Ray- I just did some research for you: Utah has been blown out on the road by Cleveland (by 12), San Antonio (by 25), the Lakers (by 13), Oklahoma City (by 21), Denver (by 20), Portland (by 14), and Golden State (by 20). http://www.nba.com/jazz/schedule/
Great research, now research who was out for each game for Utah also...I can tell you off the top of my head that D-Will was out for Cleveland and San Antonio, then losing by 13 to Lakers is pretty legit compared to opening night for you guys, @ OKC Utah were missing Boozer, Millsap, and Brewer got hurt early on, while Millsap was showing signs of wearing down in those other 3 games. Utah is a much deeper team now that they have everyone back, all they need is Boozer to get his legs back and they are the 3rd best in the West once again.
KS- I just did some research for you: At: LAL 20 PHX 11 PHX 10 BOS 15 LA 14 PHI 11 SA 15 DEN 16 Guess what team Im talking about also... At: Utah 9 Den 8 OKC 9 Teams lose, especially on the road, so whats your point?
My point is that J RAY said that Utah didn't get blown out on the road constantly. I never said we didn't so your "research" was unnecessary.
because it interferes with your tunnel vision? why is research in quotes?...since everything I said is FACT
Bottom line is the title of this thread. The Blazers are in FIRST PLACE. Jazz are in THIRD PLACE (7th in the West). Deal with it. I'm sure it will change and go back and forth as the season plays on, but right now, we're in FIRST. Of course, J Ray is upset because he's a Jazz fan and DaRizzle, you're upset because we gave the Lakers their biggest punking of the season and you're still reeling from it.
It's fact, yes, and I don't deny it at all. Research was in quotes because that is what you called it. These facts don't interfere with me at all. I own up to our losses. I never said we don't get blown out on the road. J Ray was the one who needed research done for him.
