to say that soccer is popular here because kids play it, is like saying the WNBA is popular but little girls play basketball. could soccer here work? maybe, but at the end of the day the MLS is a league that is losing money and probably won't be around in another 10 years. soccer is not an american sport and it translates horribly to television, so it will NEVER thrive in the US. let the MLS come here, it won't bother me at all, as long as the baseball stadium gets built in the RQ. oh and football is big here in the states, but it's real football, not futbol.
