if you really are talking about putting perkins over oden, you're absolutely clueless. you could argue that you would prefer to have perkins over oden on your team this season due to perkins playing 16 more games(though i would disagree), but it is not arguable at all that perkins has been a better player than oden.
I'd take Przybilla and Oden over Perkins. Also, the people that say Oden has shown absolutely nothing are ignorant.
You can have all the talent in the world but if you are injured every other game it doesn't matter. Talk to me when Oden plays a full season or something remotely close to one.
If Greg Oden doesn't miss another game in the regular season, he will have played in 61 games. That's pretty decent considering his situation. DWade has only player more than 61 games in a season 3 times out of 6 years(counting this year). Wade = failure and should retire.
I don't think that was La Bomba's point, Oden isn't even a star yet, gets 22 minutes a game, and he can't stay on the court. If people want to doubt him go ahead it seems rather reasonable at this point.
Fine, forget that, and compare him to Bynum. He has Bynum as his #1 C in the future, and Bynum is in his street clothes just as much.
Bynum played a full 82 game in 2006-2007 while averaging 22 minutes per game, and has shown more than Oden on court when he was healthy.
Oden is averaging more Pts and REBs this year in his rookie year than Bynum did in the year you are speaking of.
Actually the year I am speaking of is Bynum's second year in the league. This would be Oden's second year, had he not been injured for the entire season last year. Bynum played all 82 games when averaging 22 mpg, which is the same minutes Oden is averaging this year, except Oden has not stayed healthy. Oden is also only 1 year younger than Bynum, even after going to college... Not saying I agree that Oden should be ranked so low, or that Bynum should be ranked so high, but I can sort of understand where he's coming from. Out of all the centers mentioned, based off of what they've proven in the league, Oden ranks near the bottom.
So you're are saying Oden, who is avaraging an amazing 8 points, 8 rebounds is better than guys that have avarged over 10 points and over 8 reobunds. I said Oden would be the forth best center IN THE FUTURE, but he's not better then those guys right now.
oden has proven to be one of the top rebounders in the league and commands double teams despite so many being wanting to say he isn't "polished" enough offensively. how many other guys on the list have done something like that?
I know what year you are speaking of. Bynum's 2nd year in the league he avg 7.8 pts and 5.9 rebs. This year Oden is avg 8.7 pts and 7.2 rebs, and they played nearly identical minutes, and Oden is a rookie. Bamba said he didn't like Oden because he couldn't stay healthy, yet Bynum can't either, who he ranked #1. And the only year Bynum did play a full season, Oden current numbers are better than those. Clearly La Bamba's rankings are flawed.
