Does anyone know why some games that are on TNT also are covered by Blazers broadcasting and others are not? The last game we had on TNT was Cleveland and it was also on Blazers broadcasting. A while ago the Denver game was TNT only. With this being the late game I don't want to miss the start of the game as is usual with TNT games.
I think TNT gets like 6 games to broadcast ONLY and if TNT carries more than 6 games then the games over 6 can also be picked up by the Blazers Broadcasting team. Not sure which side chooses though...
Yeah, Driew is right. TNT gets exclusive rights to the first six Blazer games that they televise, and with any team they televise for that matter. After they cover a team more than six times, it's fair game for the local guys to televise it too head to head.
What alex and Driew said, but it must not be the "first six" because this Thursday's game is TNT only and I'm pretty sure we are past the first six TNT games.
The Cleveland game last week was on local tv. Thats what I am wondering. I just don't want to miss the start of the big game.
Either that, or it's a blow-out but the team behind continues to foul, call timeouts, and the refs call it tight as well. Those are actually more infuriating to me when I'm waiting for the Blazer game on TNT.
I agree. And all the extra TV time outs and longer half time suck also. Game wont be over until 11:00pm.
There have been a couple games TNT added and moved around so that's why the confusion. They do get 6 games exclusively, obviously not just the first six. I will be in the TNT truck on Thursday, so maybe if the first game runs late I can use my video camera to broadcast it for you guys! HAHA!!!!
I personally hope for a seven OT thriller from the Jazz. Game ends at 4:15am, PHX arrive @PDX 8:30 am. Nash, Richardson and Shaq calls it a season and flies back to Phoenix from SLC.
