His stock will never be higher then playing well on a national TV game where all the GM's are watching. OK I am joking, but I am sure he opened some eyes around the league last night. Harlan and Collins were impressd.
This is the exact reason I can't understand why Travis played more minutes last night because Batum was better in every way last night.
Doug Collins called him something like "found money". He also talked about how good Webster would have been for this team. I loved it. Bottom line, when you know SA wants to position themselves to get a player, you try to outmanuever them to grab him for yourself. I hate the French, but I love Batum.
Because he was hurting and we were putting them away anyway. Why risk more than you have. Great to see that Nic was able to play effectively through the pain, great to see that Travis was good even with the banged-up finger. Glad that we have these two going forward. What a deadly combo in the SF department.
Yeah, on his breakaway, you can clearly see Batum wincing as he landed. No need to play him any more than he did, with a hurt ankle. Need him good to go these next couple weeks. Can't have him aggravating it in a blowout.
Clearly he should have been hobbling around for 30+ on a bum ankle. WTF is wrong with Nate? He sucks!
I agree. Nate came in 4 years ago and has just ran the franchise into the ground. I'm going to question every move he makes until he gives me reason to think differently.
Yea, we need to trade Butum, Outlaw, Webster, and Rudy for a PG!! Then start Channing Frye at SF!! It would be the best team ever! Then trade Oden for a 2nd round pick since Oden not worth anything.
I was wondering the same thing myself. It could be because Nate wanted to rest his soar ankle, but Nate's done this in the past with Batum. Nate seems to like to stick with his rotations regardless of how a guy is playing. But I'd really like to see Batum eat into Outlaw's minutes.
