LaMarcus has elevated his game to another level this past month. I've been REALLY impressed. There's such a huge difference in our low-post production when he's in and out of the game. LaMarcus is getting some man-crush status right now.
Agreed 100%. I, too, have consistently asserted that Aldridge is soft. Never that he's bad... just that his game was soft (and therefore might be more prone to inconsistency as his jumper was so critical to his production overall). He's getting in the paint and getting to the line and getting rebounds and doing everything short of throwing elbows... he's NOT playing soft right now. Ed O.
Why settle for Bosh when you can get Zach Randolph for cheaper? You know I heard Zach is at least equal to Chris Bosh.
Aah Comon Minstrel! You know if Zbo says he is better, well then that has to be the truth.... Now here is something else I wanted to bring up. Many on this board (mostly Lamarcus supporters) had been surmising that at some point, Lamarcus might actually become the go to guy on the team for scoring. I am starting to wonder if the Blazers are starting to turn that corner, because Roys job has become much easier since Aldridge has really started hammering the interior of the offensive end. I don't see him stressing so much to score anymore. It is almost like he is relaxed, and just taking what is given. (Not like he hasn't always been that way, but he isn't forcing the issue like he was say, 3 weeks ago.)
This part of your post reminded me of what happened to Kobe's game when Gasol went to the Lakers. The offense runs through Gasol, and Kobe floats through parts of the game taking what the defense brings, but not constantly forcing the action as he did before. I LOVE the new and improved LaMarcus. He has been playing great. In Oklahoma City his missed his first two shots, jumpers, and I got a little worried that he was going to have an off night. But, this time, he stayed aggressive, and worked hard for better, closer looks. Used his size advantage over a small front line. He killed the Thunder. Total silence. Can you hear it? The sellout crowd had to cover their eyes as they witnessed LaMarcus hunt down and kill the hapless team, and then the bloody carnage as the rest of the Blazers tore the carcus apart. Sad and ugly if you are an animal lover. Beautiful if you are a hunter. They had no answer. Jeff Green is meeting with the coach right now demanding that he not ever have to guard LaMarcus again. He looked hopeless. It was a bit sad really.
How could you call yourself a true Blazers fan if you would come on here and Crack on our own guys. People tore LA's game apart for half this season. It takes time to develop in this league. He may have 2 straight shitty games coming up, but it doesn't change the fact that he is becoming an all-star. Greg will grow as a player also, it will just take time. If La was putting these #'s up and we were losing, people would be slamin us left and right. Make up your mind if you are going to be on the bandwagon or not.
