So last year, when I was fanatically following the Blazers around the country, I would get the very best seats I could get in each building. In Sacramento and in L.A. vs the Clippers, I was able to get Courtside seats. In the case of the Clippers, I was able to get courtside seats dead center. $1500 a seat. I took my brother to one game and my best friend to another.

Well, I had long ago purchased cheap seats to tonight's game, but after the Lakers game, I went online to see if those two courtside seats were available and they were! I wanted to buy them for me and my youngest brother, but he, my partner, and my oldest younger brother were adamantly against it since I am unemployed. So I tried over and over to convince them that I could afford it and that it would be no problem.

The tickets remained available online all day until 4:30pm at which point tickets cease to go onsale online and you must get them at the box office. So then, when we got to Staples, I decided that I was going to get the courtside seats. But THEY WERE GONE. I was pissed off. I ended up buying seats two rows behind those seats for only $550 each but I was still longing to be in the front row. And the seats were empty.... UNTIL... in walked Darius Miles and a friend. I went up to Darius and asked him about them, told him I wanted the seats, and he said he got them from Zach Randolph.

As for the game, I had a GREAT time. Was fun to see all the guys up close again. Said hello to Coach Bayno. Steve Blake. Travis Outlaw. Mike Barrett and Rebecca Haarlow from afar. And it was great to get a win.

    Go Blazers

He's a nice guy. I like him. He remembered me from my travels last season and he seems like a good guy.

    Did Darius boo the Blazers?

You were one of a few hundred Blazer fans there. It was like a home game.

Yes, it was packed with Blazers fans. Blazer jerseys everywhere. I think I only saw 2 or 3 Clippers jerseys.

It was kinda weird seeing the dark days of the Blazers in the same arena:

    Zach Randolph
    Darius Miles

I was watching the LA feed for the game and saw that Darius Miles was there and they were talking about the good ol days for the Clippers, the Miles, Odom, Maggette crew. I've seen you in the first row at Staples before but didn't see you this time Eric, I was wondering if you saw Darius, then I was wondering why was he at the game, is the season over for Memphis? I was thinking that you must be sitting pretty close to him and would have a Miles encounter to share and you didn't disappoint! :D

As much as people don't want to hear this, I've never gotten the impression that Darius was anything but on friendly terms with his former teammates. Just because we all bought into the Jason Quick and John Canzano smear job, doesn't mean he grew a pair of devil horns and kills babies -- he just likes his strippers and Baskin Robbins, who doesn't?

Yeah, that game wasn't worth watching on TV, let alone courtside.

I got center section, 5 rows back for $75 each for POR last game there :ghoti:

Eric, you should sign up for the Clippers newsletter...they have been giving crazy discounts on tix in all sections. It will probably help you out the next time POR comes to town
