Phoenix is making me a little nervous. They're playing well and making their run. We need to win tomorrow and get our lead back up to 5 games over them, or else we'll only be 3 up on them.
Phoenix is making me A LOT NERVOUS!! Seriously, let's be real here. They are in a hole, and have been in a hole. But let me ask you this - Portland vs Phoenix - 7 game series, who wins? No matter who has home court, I say Phoenix. I'm no Mixum, lol, but seriously, Dallas AND Phoenix are better than Portland. We have played over our heads this season, and make no mistake about it - we are ABSOLUTELY NO LOCK MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!! If I had to bet, I'd bet we DO make the playoffs, but I would NOT be surprised at all if we didn't -- just DEVASTATED!!
Why is Utah no longer a threat but Phoenix is? Portland would have to play near .500 ball the rest of the way for Phoenix to catch them and I doubt playing .500 ball would pull you ahead of Utah. Phoenix won't make playoffs unless they sink Mavs, they dug too big of a hole
There is no reason to worry about Phoenix. In fact, root hard for them in every game they play this season with the exception of tomorrow's.
The people who are saying Phx is a threat weren't the ones who said Utah isnt. You are mixing together two different viewpoints.
Phx is 4 games back from us. Thursdays game against them is huge. We seriously need to win this game at home. I'm concerned about Phx since Memphis is a meaningless game that we better not screw up on.
One consolation for me is Utah is in the same boat as us. Now that we're tied at 44-27, the Jazz have a brutal stretch of six road games against West playoff teams and five home games left. They have the worst road record of any of the West playoff teams. The Jazz could easily finish 49-33.
Exactly. And that puts them in the 8 seed. Unless Phoenix goes crazy and catches them. Utah better root for us tomorrow, because if Phoenix beats us and then beats Utah again, Utah is in trouble.
Utah would still be tied with Portland if that happened and Utah still has tie breaker Utah will be fine, the only road game left Utah have to play on ladder of a back-to-back is against Portland....Utah are 2-11 on the road in 2nd game of back to backs, that's over half their losses on the road. Utah's schedule make look brutal but the spacing between road games is much more favorable than they were earlier in the year.
Yeah but with Harpring in the starting line-up, those 125 points that the Lakers scored were a lot tougher to come by.
The guy loves to toot his own horn He brought up 2 different threads, and has sent me 10+ PM's in the last week like it was the first time he's ever gotten a guess right
