Bynum is 7 feet tall and Utah's starting center is hurt and yet he only averages 3.5 rebounds per game?? LMAO!!! Please.
Oh don't worry - we will. This matchup is only going to get more lopsided as we go forward. Oden is simply better than Bynum - and deep down you know it too, despite the brave front you've thrown up.
I just find it funny your so finicky. One day Oden is a huge bust, the next day he'll smack Bynum around. You're all over the place with your predictions. Being even keel makes it more enjoyable to understand your viewpoints, a trait most Blazer fans, including myself just don't have.
I never said Oden was a huge bust. I never said he'd smack Bynum around. I make more observations than predictions. For now, Oden and Bynum are merely role players on their teams. Yes, Bynum could score a lot in a particular game, but he can also disappear in another.
No actually, he's quite consistent and far more so than Oden. He had a better statistical season than Oden did this past year (20.0 vs. 18.1 PER) and was simply better as a defensive anchor, as numbers and mostly observation show. Clinging to 2 games in the playoffs where his best efforts was during garbage time smacks of desperation. I'd get used to the idea of being wrong, though, both short and long term.
Bynum has grabbed 3.5 rebounds per game against an Okur-less Jazz team at home. Consistent, I guess. Consistently sub par.
You're going to have to deal with the fact that you're not good at this arguing stuff. Especially when the amount of rebounds has been scarce anyway based on the shooting percentages of both teams.
Maybe Oden would be better if he had Coby petting his head? Oden had played only about a half of a season and Bynum has played like four half seasons. He should be further along. Oden will be the better player next year however and my yet have the better post season this year IMHO.
Is that all the gap between them? In a year where everyone was DROOLING over Bynum and he was playing out of his mind, while the cries that Oden was a complete bust were deafening? 1.9 PER? I'd like to see those numbers. Plus/Minus comparison, please. And whose observation? I don't think I'd regard you as an unbiased observer. Makes you wonder why Bynum is only playing in garbage time if he's so great? I guess he has shown himself to be incredibly injury-prone, so they'd best be cautious with his glassy bones. I don't imagine he's very happy about it, though. Given his public pronouncements, Andrew's got quite a high opinion of his abilities. Hope you've got him signed to a long-term contract, because he might get a little tired of playing second-fiddle to the scruffy Spaniard.
