    Ya gotta love it . . .

It seems the whole Rocket team is trying to figure out how to stop Roy:

I'd say half of it was probably on Battier anyways.

I have to assume that Artest knows what he's talking about. As a defensive specialist, he takes pride in these kinds of statistics. He probably remembers when a guy goes off on him, like Roy did.

Maybe he was referring to a game that didn't go to OT?

We are talking about different games....The over 40 was an overtime game (Kobe had 48min), the Kobe 18pts in 4 min was earlier this year and didnt go to OT

Battier was guarding Roy a good amount last game, so not all of his pts were on Artest either.

heres the question i have about roy in this series....

will he emerge as Wade did years ago as the guy who can carry his team through a series? will roy be the player
that gets the blazers to the next round? or is he a guy who can only do so much? so far... its 50/50 with game 1 saying he needs help but game 2 says he can be the wade type player.

game 3 tonight.... cue NBC music

Sure, if he gets to the line 25+ times a game too :devilwink:

That finals made me hate Wade through no fault of his own

Well if we're talking about Battier, I know Kobe has put up three 50 point games against him, 6 40 point games. One of the 40 was inefficient, but another was 56 in three quarters then he sat out the game.

I agree Battier was on Roy from time to time. Its just suprising that Artest gave Roy credit for being the only guy to do it against him. He's one crazy dude.

Wade was unbelievable that series, but I agree they treated Wade like he was MJ (maybe even giving him more calls then MJ would've gotten). Once he knew how they would officiate him, Wade drove the lane with reckless abandon and got EVERY call. There were times that no one even touched him and he would yell and get the call. That series, was one in which you really had to question if the NBA fixes games to ensure that the premiere players win. Its better from a marketing stand point if they do.
