both need to go this off season in my opinion. maybe we have their replacements already with bayless/sergio and martell/batum, but regardless, they shouldn't be in the long term plans for this team. outlaw just doesn't have it mentally with stupid mistake and bad shots. and blake just isn't skilled enough to be that deficient athletically.

we need a vet on our team thats strong enough to tell roy to pick up his game when he plays lazy like today. either PG or SF, one of those positions needs to be upgraded with a vet, and andre miller would be a good option

Blake was 6-11, 4-7 from 3pt land with 10 assists and 2 TOs.

???? Why no love for Blakester?

He had a great game until he failed to get Rudy the ball with us down 3.

If Brandon Roy was in the game, that last shot from Blake would not have happened.

he can't run a fast break, can't create his own shot, doesn't pass into the post very well, even when we have a center who is wide open. and possibly worst of all, he doesn't put any pressure on opposing PG's and C's by driving in and picking up fouls against them.

Everybody in the building was expecting Rudy to get the ball. How good of a look do people think he would have had?

He's not the most shifty guy of all time - he would have had a hard time getting a clean look HAD Blakey got him the rock.

Outlaw=Playoff choker so far. When you look to see what kind of players you are going to have in the playoffs, and who will step up, so far it sure isn't Outlaw. Top it off with the near zero from Batum, and the Blazers are getting zilch from the SF spot.

Blake is a keeper it was one play, a dumb play, but only one play. I have been saying for 3 seasons Outlaw needs to be dealt, but I am afraid his value has peaked.

Terrible decision making down the stretch.

And just because he got a dime for passing it to the player that scored, didn't mean he was really creating many shots for his teammates (albeit he had a great stretch where he fed it to Oden and LMA on a few possessions in a row), but overall he just doesn't have the right mix of athleticism and ability to create off the dribble that you look for in a high quality starter at the one.

He didn't play well in the first half at all. Bad as a point guard.

Blake played ok. That's what Blake does. Play ok. It's unfortunate for the Blazers that the two types of PG Houston has are quick and physical, both are problems for him defensivly.

Well he could run straight to the basket and try passing out like Sergio but I don't think that's going to work with Houston's propensity to look for the steal. I think he did fine. He made one really bad play and people are lumping it on, but in reality there were a variety of factors that caused the loss. I think he's a good scorer and for many PGs plays really good D. Brooks didn't have that great of a game tonight, perhaps that's lost on people..

exactly, a PG needs to drive and put pressure on the opposing defense, sergio does this at least and causes the d to collapse so he can dish to open shooters. blake however isn't good at this. not saying sergio is a great pg or even should play much, but he does put pressure on the d.

Why Batum gets 10 minutes is beyond me. It's like he gets punished for NOT taking bad shots.

HELL Yeah! The team's in the middle of the first round, making a good showing, and still in the series. Great to have the fans talking about how crappy the starting pg and 6th man are. You go guys.

Batum looks totally psyched out by this series. He looks really unsure of himself, and I think Nate has moved him out of the rotation. Not sure why he's even starting him if he's not going to play him meaningful minutes.
