The Saints had a good draft considering the picks we had. Atlanta is starting to look like a pretty good team, though.
Usually I'm totally amped for the NFL draft. However, the Rockets/Blazers has completely taken my focus away from football this year.
I was laughing my ass off when the Raiders picked a guy in the SECOND ROUND that ESPN didn't even have a highlight of. That was BEYOND CLASSIC! Al Davis is such an idiot, it hurts to watch that team. My Seahawks had a FABULOUS draft!
I definitely like the move for the Falcs. The second round pick may have given the more value long-term (possibly), but it's worth getting an even better player right now, when you can compete. If Gonzalez helps them reach or win a Super Bowl, that's worth much more than a second round pick. But the deal makes a lot of sense for Kansas City, too, IMO. A couple of years near the end of Gonzalez's career isn't worth much to a terrible team.
