Plus, I am not sure we need someone as an assistant full time. I woul dlove to find a big man to tutor Greg for a month this summer. Bill Russell for two weeks on post defense, and Malone or Walton for two weeks on post offense?

 

Yes, and we could have gotten the 8th seed and come in with the same effort and result.

The reason for the post season is not to "show up". Sure, we MADE the playoffs but seem to have squandered the HCA we were worked for.

 

We were the 4th seed in the west, we should be putting up a better effort than we have been.

I'm not looking at wins and losses, I look at how the team is doing in the playoffs, and its pretty sad to this point. For a team that had been hearlded as deep and one that can attack you from multiple angles...all of that just went in the trash.

Again, I'm saving final judgement until the Blazers' playoff run is over, for whenever that may be.

The ONLY thing that matters is playing well and/or winning in the post season. NBA teams don't get sportsmanship or participation awards. The losers mentality around these boards is quite sad.

We blew the first game, that I would put to our inexperience. We've done well since then and if we win tonite we got HCA back and a good chance of moving on to the next round. I know that's a big if.
