I agree with its GO time.. I have sat in both sections this year.. each has their own good and bad fans. That being said.. I feel more at home in the 300's the atmosphere is just unbelievable up there. Rowdy fans they are. When I sat in the 100 Level there were people in their scarves on one side of me and some guy in a full suit on the other side of my wife. Just something about the 300 level makes me feel at home. Plus I'm up there dissecting the game from up top the whole time.. I feel like an Offensive Coordinator when I'm looking at it thinking "How do we attack this defense" etc lol.
That's a shame. Because I'm not going to spend hundreds of doolars to take my niece to a 100 level playoff game . . . I'll just tell her she isn't missing much.
Yeah I know.. just take her to a Reg Season game.. RG Regular Season Atmosphere > Other teams Playoff Atmosphere lol
The loudest Blazer game I ever attended was 1990 Game 7 vs. San Antonio. I stood up the entire game as did most of the rest of the MC. I still remember the roar that started on the opposite corner of the arena as Kevin Duckworth emerged from the tunnel. At that point, we knew SA was done. It doesn't matter it took a bad Rod Strickland pass to seal it; when Duck manned up, it was over for the Spurs.
Well I figured that with your last post. Are you telling me that you told people to fuck themselves while they had kids next to them?
I can't tell you the number of times I have cursed during a game, only to turn around and see a young child. Man, few things will make you feel more like an a-hole than that.
I was at that game and it was very loud especially when Duckworth came out. Still nothing is even close to how loud the crowds were for the 1977 championship series.
I'm old and was in my late 20's for the 77 championship. I had Blazer season tickets from the second season on. Those were great times and I'm really hoping it will happen again with this bunch. The following year was also great until the playoffs and Walton's injury. I'm positive we would have won the championship again if Walton could have staid healthy.
I wouldn't know, I was only 2 rows up from first base. As to Blazer fans, I think there are more snobs in the 100s but overall it's a good blend.
Actually it is not. The arena is built to project the sound towards the court. So it is actually louder the closer you get, so my row 2 seats are pretty damn loud!
I actually agree there.. while I like the atmosphere up top.. I have noticed it louder down closer with all the fans behind you yelling.. but I also thought game 2 was much louder than game 5 but most dont agree. so I dunno lol I could be wrong.
I got last minute released tickets to game 5.. row R again way at the top just like last game for me lol. I was in to game 5 and yelling.. but Game 2 was physically exhausting with how people got into it.. I was gassed towards the end of the 4th quarter.. I honestly felt like I do after being on the floor at a concert. I had to get a Gatorade at the Flying J on the way back to Hood River lol. How pathetic is that.
