The Yao vody slam on Travis was just absurd.

Yes Houston got the shaft, just like Portland did in games 3 and 4. It sucks to watch no matter who you root for, but that is today's NBA for you. Once again the calls were inconsistent. The first quarter the refs wouldn't call anything. After that, they started making weird calls. It's like they choose two things before the game and would only call those types of fouls.

I still hope that one game will be called consistently from beginning to end. Maybe that will be game 6 tomorrow?

I couldn't have said it better. Is it so hard for refs to call a game the same on both sides?

They let them play early, but then in the 3rd called the game much closer. Which was dumb.

There were some no-calls on each side, and some dumb calls (foul on Hayes on Aldridge's dunk... at least one of the "fouls" on Oden).

But it was called decently. Yao has to commit murder to commit a foul (see: non-called foul on Outlaw, non-called foul on Roy).

I was going to make a thread like this too because it's funny how every time the Blazers loose there is about 20 different threads about how the rockets are favored and how the refs lost the game for us but when we win no one even mentions the word ref

You should have, that would have been so funny.

This is utter bullshit. There were many of us disgusted by the fact that Yao is allowed to body-bump Travis on a break and get away with it. The refs still sucked. They just did not suck in epic proportions - so the better team actually won.

Because it's a fucking TrailBlazers message board. How many teams whine about their team winning? Honestly. Many in here are able to admit the officiating was still bad, but are in better moods after a victory. If it bugs you so much, then start the topic on the NJ board, and participate all you want.

That's silly. Basically, Portland is propping up the sportstwo NBA boards - there's no one on the NJ boards!
