Ron is trying to do the same thing that Jedi Phil does.

maybe artest is tired of guarding him, and will want to be teammates with the best player on the planet according to him.

Kinda funny. Artest really gives off that "not quite all in this dimension" kinda vibe.

But you know, as much as we hate Artest and Von Wafer in this series, both of them are unrestricted free agents this off-season. I wouldn't mind picking either one of them up.

If we believe the compliment, then I guess we also have to believe his statement that Roy's defense "sucks."

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

He said Roy's defense is "suspect," which is partially true.

I'm sure this video will be shown in full on Inside (TNT) after this NO-DEN game to preview our game tomorrow.

Who knows, maybe he's not playing around ... I still can't believe Roy gives him more trouble than LeBron and Kobe.

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

Looking back at the stats, I see that Ron Ron does have something going in his train of thought.

    BRoy has averaged in the playoffs: 27.6pts, 5.0rebs, 2.6asts, 2.0tos, 1.4stls, and 1.4blks on 46%FG, 43%from 3, and 90% from the line in 39 minutes per game.

Those are some unbelievable stats against arguably two of the best G/F defenders in the league.

The NBA.com web-server probably melted down and corrupted the video when it 'heard' the stuff Artest was uttering.

I like how Artest calls out Roy's questionable defense! Hope that fires up Roy :)

Just saw this on Inside the NBA... Artest is looking like he's having a hard time believing what he's saying. The guy is unstable mentally.

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

I thought the same thing at first. But then I thought more about it Artest is what, 265? Lebron can't just straight up overpower Ron Ron like he does most everybody else. And Kobe is mostly . . . nevermind.

I have no clue why Brandon could be harder to defend than Kobe for him.

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

Perhaps because Roy is indeed the best NBA player? Roy is better than Kobe at driving to the basket now and has a better jumpshot than LeBron. Hell Roy is better than MJ.

    OK i'm only half serious.

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

They don't show the whole clip, on TNT they did though and he mentions that he also thinks Barkley was small and overrated because he had no Defense. Kind of makes it sound like he might think he's better than Charles, not sure if that is what he meant his comments were somewhat confusing. I got a feeling he meant he was in his league at least.

He also mentions that some guy he used to know as a teenager that is now in Jail, was the best basketball player he's ever faced.

Barkley retorts by mentioning how his hair needs "relaxer" and how he needs to take better care of it. Lol :)

Chuck, Webber, EJ and Kenny really enjoyed his comments. :]

Re: Ron Artest with some high praise for BRoy

Roy has played very well against Artest/Battier in this series, he deserves respect for that.

LeBron had one of his worst games this season against Ron Artest, I think that's why he might feel he has something over him this year. Kobe has played well against him but maybe he upset him after their altercation with words earlier? I have no idea.

For the record then, these are their career averages against him.

Okay so is Ron Artest CRAZY? Or Crazy like a fox?

I really can't tell if he really is trying to get in Roy's head or if he's just an idiot. Did anybody hear him say that "Michael Jordan said he wished he could have played against me in his prime"??? What? MJ couldn't give two turds about this guy!!
