... did anyone else want to punch their TV set after they ended the season recap video with "only 30 more weeks until next season"? 30 weeks? Does anyone else think that's a short amount of time? An entire year is 52. Anyway, that was a FAIL on behalf of whoever threw that at the end of the broadcast. Felt like a kick right in the nuts after watching that horrible game 6 effort. 30 weeks doesnt sound that long to me. Time goes by fast. Draft, Summer League, etc. will keep me busy during those 30 weeks. I doubt Blazer Broadcasting had much to do with the "30 weeks" thing you didnt like. They air what sponsors, ad agencies, and marketing departments give them to air.
Yes - that will be nice. Of course - it is also when the Formula-1 season really gets in gear. The spirits have blessed us with two wonderful sports seasons with very little overlap - you guys should really embrace it...
It was either the Blazers marketing department or Blazer Broadcasting. Either way, they could have done it better. "20 weeks until training camp" or something like that would have been better. Or nothing at all. -Pop
I know. I got a text message via twitter from the Blazers saying just 26 more weeks until the 2009-2010 season. Jeez.
it should be 24 weeks not 30..may,june,july,august,sept,oct..1st game usually late oct or 1st of nov....6 months times 4 weeks=24
There's slightly over 4 weeks in each month. It's more like 26 weeks. But there's a whole world out there to explore during those 26 weeks!

The worst part of the off-season is all the dead time in August. June is the finals, and then the draft. July is FA signings, etc. August is just hot, and boring. It kind of sucks not being a fan of other sports sometimes. Although I am glad we aren't concentrating solely on the lotto and the draft this year.
