http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/chi-04-bulls-rostermay04,0,6383827.story I think Gordon will probably join him there in late May/June. Hinrich probably the same.
Gordon's a UFA with no contract. He's not likely to show up at the Bulls' training facility or risk an injury until that changes.
Gordon's going to practice regardless of his free agent status. He's not Tyson Chandler. He worked out there all of last summer, even though he was a free agent, so I don't see anything being different this year.
He was an RFA last season, and was guaranteed to play for the Bulls unless the Bulls decided to trade him. He's not guaranteed to play for the Bulls, nor does he have any contract guaranteed even for a season.
IMHO, an RFA needs to show more separation from his team than a FA. If you sign an FA, the other team has no recourse. An RFA sometimes needs to play the "I'll never play there again" card.
Regardless, Gordon will practice this summer, I just hope to God he doesn't end up in Detroit or out in Miami.
Don't count out Boston for the MLE. Ainge offered Pierce for Gordon on draft day, and Paxson turned it down. Boston would be the one that would make me most sick to see Gordon go to.
I think it's great that Derrick is starting already to think about work outs, but I would like him to take it easy for awhile to not get burnt out, or worse, suffer an injury.
