Not who you think WILL win, but who you WANT to win. I post this only because I'm amazed at the comments of Blazers fans who want LA to beat Houston just because of Adelman or some classless Houston fans.
Lol these options arent enough for me. Is there an "I'm torn because I was bred to hate the Lakers... But Scola and Adleman piss me off soooo much!" option?
this.. although I admit.. I would have a hard time rooting for Boston if they made it again.. and Lebron annoys me more than Kobe. Stupid conundrums.
OT: Does anyone else think Sasha V. should play as a teenager on a new Addams Family Show with Luis Scola as his uncle?
I like Houston, now that they're not playing Portland. So, I'm definitely rooting for them against LA. I didn't think they had much chance (LA was much better during the regular season and seemed like a bad match-up for Houston), but if Houston can continue to grind them into the dust like they did in game 1, perhaps LA doesn't have the toughness to handle it.
This is an issue for me. A good friend of mine is a Laker friend and is one of the most level-headed sports fans I know and he roots for the Blazers for me so I feel obligated to root for the Lakers for him. In our series against Houston however I gained even more respect for Yao as he is a good guy. I also appreciate the coaching job that Adelman consistently does wherever he goes. As a Blazer fan parts of me obviously will always hate the Lakers despite any friendships I may have. However I also hate Von Wafer, his ridiculous haircut, and his ridiculous posing. I also talk to a Laker fan who is a jackass who has pretty much cursed his team evey time he's randomly talked splash to me out of nowhere for no reason. He talked splash to me last January about Greg Oden for no reason - Bynum got hurt a bit later. He talked splash to me about the Blazers during the finals and then they lost that 20 point lead and lost by 39 points in game six. He talked splash again to me about Greg in January of this year and Bynum went down. He talked splash to me when the playoffs started and then they lost their first game to Houston. Eerie coincidence or universal karma playing its role again? He's one of those stupid bandwagon Laker fans so I'm going to have to say karma. So essentially I am pretty torn right down the middle.
He WAS a Laker. With that said, I wanted to choose "I'm rooting for LA because I hate the Rockets." but it didn't exist, so I didn't vote.
Oh. Splash is what the kids call trash talk nowadays, I guess. I too had no idea what splash was at my old age of 24 until it was explained.
Come on now, just because the kids are doing it, doesn't mean we have to lower ourselves to their illiterate standards
Houston will sweep them. Book it. I'm not kidding. Artest was right about what he said about Roy being tougher to guard than Kobe.
Wow you're still at it huh? Ok, we'll bring this back up on my birthday a bit less than a week from now (just seems more fitting that way). For the record I'm thinking Lakers in 6. No disrespect to Houston, I do think highly of them.
If only we could live in Eric's world, where teams get swept all the time or the Blazers win every game by 20. haha
