If he gets his athleticism all the way back.. and he can develop at least the post game of Dwight Howard.. then I wouldnt say its a stretch to average that.. but it will take time.
I suspect that it is really too early to tell. I can not really judge Greg when he is not fully recovered and is lacking in confidence. He is already a 15PPG/11RPG per-36 as a glorified garbage man with no plays called for him. I doubt we will every see a 28PPG from him as Shaq had during some of the best years of his career - but I just do not think it is a huge stretch to think that a quicker Oden with some experience and confidence and just a little bit of plays called his way will not be able to play 36MPG and get 20PPG.
Exactly.. I'm not expecting 28ppg Shaq numbers either.. but I dont think that 20 ppg is a HUGE thing for him, if he can at least get the moves that Dwight has.
There is no reason to do anything outside of playing the game the right way. Forcing the ball to someone who clearly wasn't ready to handle the load would have hurt him more than helped his confidence.
