I know it's not the right time for this yet, we're in the middle of a playoff battle.

But I was skimming on LG, and apparently a guy who broke the J. Kidd and J. O'Neal rumors in the past says that Bibby and the Lakers have mutual interest of signing on for the MLE next year.

They will make an effort to keep LO but he's most likely gone, unless we win the 'ship. So I'm guessing that means we choose Trevor and Shannon over him.

Farmar will be traded for a pick.

So yeah, I dunno how reliable this is, I'm just a messenger. I don't see how Bibby would be talking to the Lakers anyways. Hawks are in the playoffs, and so are we. Wouldn't that be considered tampering?

But wtv, we haven't had a lot of rumors this year so I'm just throwing it out there. Would you guys like a signing like this? I remember Bibby in his Kings days, but I haven't really seen too much of him in recent years. I know he isn't much of a defensive player, but he can't be worse than Fish, but he's much more dangerous offensively.

If Lamar does leave then I'd rather us search for a big with the MLE, so I'm not liking it, chances are it's just another internet rumor, so who knows. I'm bored. Drew needs more playing time.

I just don't have an opinion yet on this matter, too early for me to come to a decision yet with so many games left and other variables.

It would be tampering if the Lakers discussed any offseason signing with Mike Bibby. For the record I wouldn't want him on this team he doesn't play any defense.

I would be extremely concerned with Bibby signed with LA.

Fisher defends better than Bibby. Hopefully the Lakers can re-open discussion to acquire Andre Miller in the offseason.

Bibby can be no worse on defense than Fisher. No way you can convince me of that, either. Fisher is fucking god awful on defense.

Bibby, also is a better offensive player. He can finish at the rim and he can hit jumpers. Bibby >>>> Fisher all day.

I'd be interested in him if we do lose Lamar (keep Shannon and Ariza over Lamar), and we can trade Farmar.

Bibby is a better offensive player, but believe me he's worse on defense. At least Fisher will step in and take a charge. The problem with Fisher is he's too old now to stay in front of the speed guards around the league.

Should be interesting to see what the Lakers do in the offseason. I also hope we can keep Ariza & SB3.

Do you agree that Ariza + Brown is more important than Odom? What would you rather have back?

Why would the Lakers want to acquire Andre Miller? He doesn't shoot the three ball at all, so he would not be useful for triangle offence. o_0

It's a misconception for Miller having to be a three point shooter in the Triangle offense. Miller is one of best back to the basket point guards left in the league. He'd be a nice fit in the Triangle offense because of his ability to create offense either scoring or passing the basketball. He's also arguably the best PG in the league at throwing the lob pass. 'Dre to Drew' lob dunks could be a staple in our offense.

Mamba to answer your question yes I'd rather have Ariza & SB3 over Odom. I'd rather have Ariza by himself over Odom. Hopefully we can figure out a way to keep all three though by dumping some of our dead weight contracts like Morrison, Puke & Fisher.

Fisher isnt goin anywhere...only way he isnt on the Lakers next year is if he retires.

Doesnt anyone here remember that Bibby used to be enemy #1 to the Lakers?!? Ya'll too young!?!?

If he signed with the Lakers I think I would hate that more than any move the Lakers have made since I started watching them in 1987. Fuck Bibby

That's one example, I'm sure you could find plenty that worked out, especially for those players who joined other teams before the age of 35. ;]
