Well, we could hypothetically have 16 million in cap space. You don't think that would be enough to get both?

KP already said he's picking up Blake and Outlaw's options, so I don't think we'd have enough for both..not even sure 16 would be enough though

Yeah, and he also told Jarrett Jack he wasn't going to trade him.

He can pick up their options and still trade them, so a S/T works.

Good player.. but Rondo is a douche.. he is in douche territory of Birdman, and Scola IMO.

    OK, I'll bite.

I can see comparing him to Ariza or K-Mart (ie a rough/dirty player) - but what has he done to be compared to a drug addict and a world class flop artist/complainer?

Didn't I tell you? I've wanted Rondo since his rookie year - because I thought he could be the new Greg Anthony for us. Safe to say he's succeeded a bit more than that. So, now that he's the Face of the Celtics Franchise, the question becomes, who's the Next Rajon Rondo? Annoyingly, I think it's Ricky Rubio. He's not as athletic, but he's taller, just as disruptive defensively, and just as unable to hit a jump shot.

More in the annoying department... He annoys me like those people... I dont mean he has done what they have. I just hate him on the same level as those guys.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Yep, you told me. You were right, last off-season.

Yeah, Rondo is becoming the new Gary Payton...with worse shooting but better rebounding.

Well, Rubio is the blue-chip prospect most likely to become a big-time point guard, I agree. Ramon Sessions is still my pick for a somewhat under-the-radar player most likely to become the next Devin Harris or Rajon Rando.

I think he actually is approaching Joakim Noah level, the human Holy Grail of doucheness IMO

Sure, Hedo would be great. However, I don't want to pay him a huge contract, nor do I want to give up a lot of talent to get, nor do I want to make Small Forward a priority over Point Guard this summer.

If there would be some way to lure Andre Miller AND Hedo to P-Town (one with cap space and one with a sign-and-trade) that would be an awesome off-season. I don't see how it could be done without giving up players I don't want to give up though.

With Miller and Hedo and his 3 point range, we wouldn't need both Blake and Rudy anymore. Obviously, I prefer to keep Rudy.

With Miller we can't keep both PG prospects Sergio and Bayless. Sergio wants out anyway. Bye Bye Sergio.

With Hedo, we wouldn't need all of Batum, Martel and Outlaw. No way we let go of Batum yet. I think Outlaw has much more current trade value than Martel, and thus he goes.

So the trade assets would be Sergio, Blake, Outlaw, current picks, future picks. Doesn't seem anywhere near enough to get something done.

And, we still have a big hole at backup power forward.

    New lineup:

    Miller/Bayless
    Roy/Rudy
    Hedo/Batum/Webster
    LaMarcus/
    Oden/Joel

LOL oh yeah.. I forgot Noah. But I think I noticed him less because Rondo was pissing me off so much.

1- Paul Allen doesn't have infinite money. I'd rather he spent this on a better player.
    2- agreed.
3- well that's a reason to avoid free agents, isn't it?
4- yes we do. A $50m contract can start at around $8m a year.
