I don't see anything wrong with telling a parent the truth about their child. I don't recall Kenyon Martin apologizing to the fan in Denver he sent his posse to intimidate simply because he was heckling K-Mart. Martin is a walking piece of shit, and chances are his mother had a role in developing the kind of character he possesses.
So what? I get the fact it's his perferred way of communicating, but in addition to a public apology, he needs to have a sit down with KM and even take the beat down if necessary. I even think his comments went so far as to incite some of the stuff that happened last night. Cuban has a lot to answer to for all this.

Cuban is a snobby bitch on this. It is absolutely irrelevant if Kmart is thug or not(which he is IMO). You dont go to a dudes mom telling her your son is a punk. honestly, kmart is a grown man. he's 31 years old. commenting to his mom that he's a thug shouldn't be an issue at all. cuban shouldn't have done it because there simply isn't any point to it, but it's not like he did some terrible thing.
he didn't offer them game tickets. he said that during game 6(if there is one) in dallas the families of nuggets players can sit in his personal suite or he can get them their own suite so they don't have to deal with the abuse from the crowd they dealt with in game 4. it had nothing to do with his apology.
Given that Blazer fans used to call their own players "thugs" and "punks" every time they got a parking ticket, I have trouble getting too upset about this story.

He saw her as he was leaving the floor and he made a comment. I could think of worse things to say to someone about their son, and "punk" doesn't even make the list. I do. He crossed a line. He insulted someone's family. In particular, his mother. By calling her son a punk/thug to her face, his is calling her bad parent. He had no right to disrespect her like that. If he he a problem with K-Mart, he should take it up with K-Mart, not his mother. It's inappropriate, rude and cowardly. To me, it shows me Mark Cuban's mom didn't exactly do a good job teaching her son manners and acceptable social behavior. Why disrespect and insult her at all? Cuban had a beef with K-Mart, not his mom. Either confront Martin directly, or keep your big, rude mouth shut. While I find Martin's choice of words both vulgar and offensive, I understand his motivation. He was sticking up for his mother. If someone treated my mother with disrespect, I would have lashed out at them, too - probably both verbally and physically. Still, two wrongs don't make a right. In addition to the offensive nature of the words Martin used, I also question the particular combination. Isn't "***got motherfucker": an oxymoron. ***got fatherfucker would be more consistent (but no less offensive). Edit: Wow, S2 doesn't censor motherfucker, but blocks the other word K-Mart used. cuban insulted kmart, not kmart's family. saying that kmart is a thug doesn't say anything about his mother. someone can be a thug on their own without bad parenting(especially when we're talking about a 31 year old man). inappropriate and rude? sure. there was no reason for cuban's actions. should this have been a big deal? no. and nothing about it is cowardly.
By directing his comments to Kenyon Martin's mother, he was being rude a disrespectful to her. His comments may have been ABOUT K-Mart, but they were directed AT his mother. I actually find it incredibly cowardly. If Cuban has an issue with Kenyon Martin, he should take it up with Kenyon Martin directly, not Kenyon Martin's mother. Seriously, if you had a problem with a co-worker, would confront them directly, our would you tell their mommy. I also think apologizing through is blog shows what an arrogant, self-important little prick Cuban is. Does he actually think Kenyon Martin's mother reads that self-absorbed whine fest? i'm sure at the time mark cuban would have had no problem letting kmart know that he's a thug. that paragraph is garbage. cuban can apologize through the blog not because he expects kmart's mother to read it but because after the media story that was already made of it, the apology will get to her. there's nothing arrogant or self important about it.
