Just to let people know who were wanting to make the splash for season tickets for this upcoming season. The Blazers had an open house for current season ticket holders today through Wednesday at the RG for renewals or if people wanted to upgrade. I was told all 300 level season tickets are sold out, and the only season tix that will be available on Thursday for non-season ticket holders are in the 100 level and Club level. Quarter season ticket packages will be available June 22 for those who put a deposit down before the imposed deadline. Those expect to sell out quickly as well. I'd imagine individual game tickets will be close to slim and none if/when they go on sale. Just thought I'd let those of you know who were interested. Looks like it'll be a hot ticket. Good luck!
I wanted to upgrade from 2 seats to 4, and last March was told today I would be able to do that. However, because of the demand, I wasn't allowed to. I don't really have a problem with that, except there are a few people who have 20, 50, and even one guy had 100 seats. Clearly those people are doing it to scalp, and I just want to share the Rip City fever with my friends and family. Oh well, I'm glad the Blazers are doing so well!
One guy had 100 seats? Wow! Hopefully every game doesn't become a playoff-like game where guys are selling their tix for inflated values.. that's insane.
Me too. I was going to buy 2 tix in the 300 level, but that idea is out the window. Oh well... $1,000 saved.
Don't remember the exact number, but the NBA charter requires a specific percentage of seats to remain unsold as season tickets so fans can get single games, it was like 3000 or so seats last season. Now this doesn't stop STH from buyign them out the day before they go on sale, but there is a small measure of protection there at least.
Good info to know, thanks. I guess the Blazers have sold their allotment of season tix for the 300 level then, have another section for quarter season tix, and then the individuals. The franchise should feel fortunate to have this type of demand in this economy.
yeah, the "tan" section is basically what is reserved for single games and special events give away seats. worst seats in the arena, but it makes it affordable for everyone in the community to attend a game now and then. If you go to a select a seat event, you will see that those seats are never available, and that is the reason.
All NBA teams are required to make 500 single seat tickets minimum available for ten dollars for every game.
well that sucks.. hopefully that waiting list I got put on comes in handy for me some day. If I had the cash to get lower levels I would.. but 300 level is where I will be with my income. Maybe someday I can. *sigh*
pretty sure there were more people than available seats at the swap today.... that was such a waste of my time. they need to make available seats viewable online so that we can decide if it is worth driving all the way down there.... i mean how hard can it be?
