Anyone interested? It sounds like he's a lockdown defender and great rebounder at the wing, both qualities we could use. Also, Nate's old teammate has taken him under his wing...
Terrence Williams is a very good player who if his attitude becomes a non-factor, can be an instrumental piece to a championship team.
Sounds like a decent pickup if Travis and/or Martell get moved this off-season (or just for some emergency depth).
TWill has always intrigued me. He has a young Corey Maggette's body with game similar to Shaun Livingston - very good passer, great handles, a very fluid and natural athlete and can create his own shot. I think it's legit to say that he can play both the 2 and 3 offensively, and can probably hold his own guarding 1s, 2s and 3s in the association. My thing w/ him is... He's not going to fall to us, so we'd have to be aggressive to go get him. How much does it really make sense to essentially "go get" our 6th wing player? I like TWILL and Dejuan Summers a whole lot, but I think SUmmers will fall to us, very likely even to our 2nd round picks, and I think he'd be an absolute steal (on or near the level of Michael Redd, Monta Ellis, David Lee, etc.). If we end up using Travis, Martell or Batum in a deal I'd really like us to nab Summers in the 2nd (or obviously Williams if he somehow fell there...)
He is one of the players I most want in the draft, but, like glazeduck, I'm not sure how much I'd give up to get him if he doesn't fall to our pick.
T Will is a like a slightly better Sefolosha (good D, good rebounder, not a very good offensive game) except he is a much better playmaker.
He's much more explosive than Sefolosha...His main weakness is perimeter shooting and being out of control sometimes...Solid all around player which could be a really good role player in this league if his jump shot becomes consistent....Don't like him with us, we are log jammed at his spot!
TWill is going to be a difference maker for every ends up taking him. The only knock on him is his jumpshot, but that's a skill he can develop. He has a high ceiling which isn't something you can say about most of this year's draft class.
We're a little crowded at the wing, but every team needs its Mikael Pietrus/Dahntay Jones/young Ron Artest attack dog, and we don't have that at the moment. If he could be sort of a Ruben Patterson-with-a-brain, that would be nice.
Maybe this is just news to me, but did everyone know that Terrence is from the NW (Seattle to be exact)? FYI.
Sam Young or Danny Green will both be productive NBA players. It's almost a Josh Howard situation IMO, and I can't figure out why neither of them are projected to go higher.
If Williams has legit passing skills, I have to agree that a Williams/Roy/Batum/Aldridge/Oden lineup would be intriguing. Assuming Williams can defend point guards. If not, perhaps a Batum/Roy/Williams/Aldridge/Oden lineup.
Yeah, I think he's another Rainier Beach guy who chose to play outside of the Northwest. Ala Jamal Crawford, the Stewart twins, Doug Christie and CJ Giles.
He could do it. Not for the whole game, but he has the handles and passing to run point. As I said earlier in this thread, I see him similar to a bulkier Shaun Livingston. That certainly doesn't mean his natural position is PG but, at the offensive end at least, he could pair w/ Broy and do very well IMO.
