Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) But he's not resting on it nicely. He's acting like a little baby on twitter everytime Dwight Howard achieves something. He took a shot at Kareem too.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Gosh, bobbled dribble by Kobe, missed FT's by Kobe, some crazy 3 point misses by Kobe... It wasn't exactly a pretty 2nd half yet we lose only in the final minute. Kobe's gonna put this loss on himself. He'll be back for game 4. I dont expect the same mistakes either.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) I have too many thoughts to ponder on right now. First, Kobe Bryant. The last two games, he has tried to do too much. He lost this game for us, by himself. He crumbled under pressure, he let Lee get inside his head, he tried to take over the game...the Closer turned into the Choker. Disgusting game by Kobe. There was a stretch in the 3rd quarter that was just fucking awful. Offensive foul, bricks, turnovers, frustration. The turnover at the end of the game, too. I think he finished like 3-14 shooting. Fucking awful. God fucking awful. Let me ponder some more.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Oh! How the fuck did I forget about the fucking missed FT's. 5/10, Kobe? Really?
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Odom needed to be more assertive. He didn't demand the ball enough, neiter did Pau. Farmar? Really, wtf was he doing in the 4th. He hit some shots, but he thought he was a dominant scorer.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Gasol = 3 boards. Bynum = 4 boards. Odom = 2 boards. Wow. And the refs. Never mind. Wow...ugh, Orlando got some serious home cooking!
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Positives? We defended the perimeter badly, Orlando was lights out from the field (more so than usual), Kobe was god fucking awful, and our bigs didn't board...and we were in the game until the final minute. We'll be just fine. I'll stick with my original prediction of 6, with 5 being a very big possibility. I expect to win game 4. Game 5 will be a toss up.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) My sentiments as well. We played as horribly as we possibly could, they can't possibly play much better. Just win one on the road and I'm good, and we'll accomplish that.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) How the hell were we even in this game? The Magic shot an NBA record 63% from the floor and outshot us from the FT line...and only won by 4. We had no right being in this game with how well the Magic shot tonight. As it is, I'm incredibly frustrated after tonight's loss. I never expected us to go up 3-0 and never expected a sweep, but it was looking possible. But the Magic just shot the ball unbelievable today. And apparently we couldn't breathe on Dwight tonight without getting a foul called. And why the FUCK did Pau Gasol not get more shots? He was 9/11, get him the goddamn ball in the goddamn fucking post and let him go the fuck to work. The Magic absolutely can not stop him or Odom when the put the ball in the paint. Let them go to work, period. Also, who the fuck possessed Kobe's body at the FT line tonight? Since when was he Shaq at the FT line. He made only 5/10 and missed 2 crucial FTs down the stretch when he got fouled on that three. If we make a few more FTs, I think we win this game. We beat ourselves in that regard. All in all, we played one of our worst games of the playoffs tonight, were absolutely pathetic on defense, and still almost won the game. While losing certainly does suck, the fact that we were in this game all the way through at least soothes the pain a little bit. I fully expect us to come out and put the pedal the metal immediately on Thursday. Kobe will rebound from his relatively poor game and I guaran-fucking-tee he's not going to go 5/10 from the line again. He knows we let this one slip away, and that's not going to happen again. No chance he lets that happen again.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) @ D12 shooting 16 FT's. I didn't know LeBron was playing in this series.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) I'll give Lee credit for completely brain fucking Kobe and completely out playing him with his rough and aggressive defense. However, if the Lakers were to defend Howard like that, they'd foul out each player in like 10 minutes.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) No shit, talk about fucking pathetic. He was getting the LeBron/Wade treatment tonight. Fuck, he's been getting it all goddamn series. He's shot 16, 9 and 16 FTs so far this series. If it wasn't for the FT line, he wouldn't have hit double figures in scoring yet this series. But like I said, we can't breathe on him without getting called for a foul.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) The lack of rebounds don't bother me too much considering the lack of missed shots tonight. Both teams grabbed less than 30 boards tonight. You can't really expect one guy to have a tremendous amount of boards with low numbers like that.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Speaking of Bynum...why the hell wasn't he on the court tonight? He only played 22 minutes and only had one foul. He's been damn good defending Dwight this series, and there's no reason for him to be getting less than 30 minutes when he's not in foul trouble. Though I can't complain too much with how well Odom has played.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Oh yea...my last complaint. I'm glad Mickael Pietrus got away with that goal tend. Because that didn't change the game up a bit at all
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Drew not on the court was stupid tonight. He had Dwight frustrated. Odom wasn't aggressive tonight.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) I'll admit that he doesn't look like he's fully there yet and up to speed, but he's still been playing solid against Dwight and was doing a good job cleaning the glass in the first quarter with 4 boards. While his offense has been pretty poor, his defense has been good and that alone should warrant him at least a few more minutes. Plus, giving him more minutes really only helps in the long run, because it keeps either Gasol or Odom a little fresher for the end of the game.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Him frustrating Dwight is nice and all, but my main reasoning for having him out there at least a few more minutes is to give Odom and Gasol an extra breather so they're fresher for the last few minutes of the game. And tonight was one of those games where Odom frustrated me. He's absolutely dominated Lewis all series in the post, so why not go at him at every opportunity? Lewis simply cannot defend him, and Odom has to realize that. There is no reason for Odom to not be a dominant player in this series. At all.
Re: NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Magic (Lakers lead 2-1) Hopefully that's what it stays at. With how pathetic he's been all season and postseason, I want no part of him touching the court. I'm completely content with him chilling at the end of the bench.
