I'm watching, God forbid, the Laker championship parade (yeah, don't ask) and the commentators said that Portland is the team that will provide the Lakers the best competition for the years to come. Then Rick Fox chimes in and says that he predicts Portland will not win a championship in the next 7 years because 1) they don't have a Phil Jackson type coach to make them a contender and 2) we will not be able to keep all our talent because they will get cherry picked off our team over time. Rick Fox is a douche bag, but just something to stir the pot.
Did he provide any reasoning as to how other teams are going to cherry pick all our talented players off the team over time under the current CBA and with the economic challenges other teams are facing?
How is that going to happen exactly? Teams are just going to take players from us? At their will? And theres nowt we can do to stop them? OK Rick Fox... It's not baseball for fucks sake.
He's an idiot. We have one of the greatest owners in professional sports and we'll have Bird rights for all of them. Not to mention they've reportedly got the best locker room chemistry in the NBA.
I'v just got one thing to say to Rick Fox... Take that biatch! Now, STFU before you embarass yourself some more. BNM
My sweet... I'm not sending them because I care about you and don't want you to be scarred for life. Let's just say years of gravity is not a woman's friend.
I honestly don't think that's what it is. I just think he doesn't have a fucking clue what he's talking about. if anything it's LAL who are about 2 weeks away from having to make some tough choices.
Ha. I simply transferred it to guys like Vujacic, Odom, Ariza, a little bit more for Kobe and Phil. But Fox is back!
My favorite Rick Fox moment was I think Game 6 of the 2000 WCF at home, and the last moments when we sealed the win, he tried to bully Pippen to get him to retailiate and punch him in the face so he'd get suspended for a Game 7. Pip wouldn't have any of it, and Mike Dunleavy got in Fox's face when Fox fouled out, and Dunleavy walked eye to eye with him down the sideline, talking s*it with him. And Fox looked like a big douche bag at the end of it, and Costas and Collins on the old NBA on NBC crew called Fox a punk.
Paul Allen is the richest owner in professional sports. He pays the Luxury Tax out of spare change in his couch. No one is getting the Blazers' core nucleus by outbidding them. End of story.
