Kobe is one of the five or so best players in the last 20 years, in my opinion. He is a truly great player.

I can see how someone can appreciate greatness even if it's Laker greatness. :)

Who doesn't hate Kobe? I'll let Daniel Tosh take over.

It's like when Michael Jordan was the best, you hated him but you respected his game.

Pushing him in front of a bus would be a little extreme. Just hit him in the leg with a crowbar.

I thought this was a cool standup (a bit old), most of it is off topic though sorry about that. Basketball starts around the five minute mark.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Kobe has been one of my five favourite non-Blazers players for most of his career. I don't like/dislike athletes for who they are as people, I like them based on whether I enjoy watching them play ball (just like my favourite actors or bands are based on how much I enjoy their performances).

Kobe is brilliant to watch play.

Kobe wasn't acquitted either. The case was dropped when he paid her off.

I know I've never had to pay a woman off that accused me of rape. He settled with the woman who still claims to have had her ass bleed.

    I think it is her.

    She starts crying during it.

It doesn't sound like she is making light of it. It sounds like she's lashing out at somoene who raped her. That being said, you would think that would be against the rulings of the court in a settlement dispute.

Oh we know how this would turn out. Everybody here hated Pippen until he was playing here. Then he was loved. They are always the enemy until they are on the Blazer!:ghoti:

I think Minstrel said it best. I never thought of it that way, about the actors thing.

I never hated Pippen. I just hated the Bulls beating the Blazers.

Please, it seems every 6 weeks or so we get one of these "Kobe [am I on a first name basis with this creep? I don't think so!] to the Blazers" threads. I think people just want to stir the pot.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Kobe Bryant becomes a Blazer I will not root for the team. I will go to college and WNBA games but not Blazers games. I'm woman enough to admit that my dislike of Kobe Bryant will not change if he changes uniform.

And the chances of seeing Kobe Bryant in Blazer uniform are about as likely as seeing Rush Limbaugh in an Obama 08 T-shirt.

She did go to her friend's house, where reportedly she bragged about him repeatedly at a party. Also she had intercourse within 24 hours of the incident. She also admitted to detectives that she made some errors in her statements, and the case was dropped even with the "evidence" they had presumably collected.

I've heard on other boards that it's clearly a fake. I think TMZ or whatever would be all over it otherwise.

True. You would think it would be all over something because there is no way she would be allowed to say that after he paid her off. It's just weird that she gets pretty emotional during it.
