As a Beavers fan, I'll try to put this as nicely as I can: "BWAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA<coughcoughcoughcoughwheeze>HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!"
as a Ducks fan.... BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA no, this joke is never going to get old.
Take away the feathers, and it's not so ghey. Their white ones (the white and silver/grey) kind of resembles the Eagles uniforms. But the feathers just look really out of place. At least it's not a bra though.
Right on, Pop. I was wrong to claim ownership of black on behalf of Oregon State University. Find a way to forgive me and the school's long history of an orange and black color scheme. I overstepped. OSU overstepped. Cougs=crimson/silver. Huskies=purple/gold. Ducks=yellow/green. Beavs=orange/black. Is it really that controversial? When it comes to OSU/UO, we apparently need to argue every point.
I love when fans try and Identify a neutral color as their own. If we started wearing Orang, or Scarlett, or Purple then those fans would have a right to bitch. But Black or White or Silver, STFU seriously.
Thanks for setting me straight, Wheels. We'll go ahead and switch to just orange, so that we look like Tennessee and so that you feel more comfortable about it.
dont worry.. I'm pretty sure that not many fans at all of any conference will be confusing the Ducks and Beavs.
...actually, outside of Oregon, the majority of fans confuse the Ducks with the Beavers [and vice versa] all of the time!!!
yes many times thank you. Whether its more flash and swag.. Oregon has more noteriety than OSU. Not a knock on OSU, I think they have a very good program, and a hell of a coaching staff.
This is ridiculous by the way. Ohio State wears white, and OMG Michigan does too! And both Oklahoma and Texas! Which one of those schools has the copyright on "white"? Black is a complimentary color. As a Blazer fan, I don't get pissed at the Spurs for wearing black. The Bulls, Raptors, Sixers, Heat and T-Wolves all currently wear or have worn black jerseys as well, and I've never felt like those teams were trying to steal the Blazers' identity. -Pop
Call me old fashioned, but I don't really understand going away from the green and gold. Black is one thing, but silver??? I don't get it... Maybe they'll try red next?
Who doesn't doesn't associate orange/black, yellow/green, crimson/gray, and purple/gold like I said above? It's been that way for well over a hundred years. Honestly though, I don't care if you incorporate all those colors plus hot pink into your gear. Wear whatever makes you feel pretty. But to deny that orange/black is strongly associated with OSU is just crazy.
