Well, I guess he would help. I wonder how Blake and Bayless feel about this (if it happens). Who gets the backup scraps?

What an expensive worthless player for us to have. I really doubt KP is that stupid.

I would guess one of them gets shipped out.

If we end up with him, I'd hope it would be a temporary situation and he'll be soon shipped off.

He is a minor upgrade over Blake, but any upgrade is a good thing in my book.

He is a minor upgrade to no upgrade on offense - but he is a big upgrade on defense.

Maybe neither. What if we still found a way to get Rubio, Curry, or Flynn. I'd be down with Lawson in place of Bayless to be honest.

Yea but you know Hinrich has to not be happy that Rose was brought in. Hinrich could start on a lot of teams. Where any of our PG might be a good backup for them.

You calling him worthless is laughable. The dude is the Przybilla of point guards. Tough as nails and downright one of the best defending guards in the league.

People undervalue how good a player Hinrich is. What impresses me the most about him isn't his offense it's his defense. He is almost always assigned the other teams best perimeter player. He has a very high BBIQ and a good shooter. I would be very happy if he's our upgrade. If this happens I want to see Blake shipped out so that Bayless gets the back up minutes. The only thing Hinrich doesn't do a great job of is driving into the lane so Bayless could give us that off the bench.

I've been on the Hinrich bandwagon for a long time now. I think he'd be a good fit on this team, and would help a lot on the defensive end, which is where I think the team needs the most help. I hope this pans out.

So does this mean Blake is a goner? And we still have Sergio and Jerryd... although we expect Sergio to be gone, he's still on the roster.

If Hinrich is the guy to replace Blake, the one thing I like about him is that he can play off the ball as well as he can play on the ball. So in that respect he'd be a very complimentary backcourt mate for B-Roy, since Brandon is a playmaker in so many of our sets. Hinrich can keep the floor spread.

And if he's as good on defense as people are saying he is, we'd have a nice upgrade. Although I'm not sure he's worth the money he's making.

For a starting PG in the NBA, I don't think Hinrich makes that much... $8-9 million seems about right for your starter. Blake has been a real cheap option for us.

I like what he brings to the table in terms of his defense and his offense might turn around with some actual low post threats to get him open looks. We would have killed for Hinrich a few years ago, maybe he just needs a change of scenery.
